Now confirmed
Smith retained on the rookie list. Rowe and O'Dwyer delisted but invited to keep training with a view to being redrafted.
All of Jack, Barlow and Brennan promoted.
Doyle persuaded to retire.
Numbers must mean that both O'Loughlin and Barry will be outside veterans next year, and hence there is just one spot available on the non-NSW rookie list for next year (with Smith, Orreal and Murphy already occupying spots).Comment

Brennan not the answer
I would have to agree with the promotions and delistings but am still surprised that Brennan is considered good enough.
He is not any better than the rookies we had or the guys we have on the fringes of the Senior team week in week out.
Not a good kick, not going to get much better, much like Luke Vogels.
In other words possible stopping a young potential player getting a start.
Hve no problems with Barlow and Jack as they have a lot of upside, Brennan does not.Comment

Does Rowe qualify as a NSW rookie? If so can he be re drafted as a rookie and the club still able to draft another non-NSW rookie?Comment

Rowe definitely deserves one last shot.
Still don't think Brennan is good enough but i hope he can put in a great pre-season (his 1st one in a long time) to prove me wrong.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

Farewell to the Donk. A really good player if only injuries had let him get on the ground.
Geez we have been unlucky with father/son selections.
Heath James could have been anything but injuries cruelled him
Stephen Doyle, if only the medicos could have got him right.
Shaun Dempster. Played more games than the others, but unfortunately never made it, and I doubt will do so at the Aints.
In reality we probably paid over the odds (3rd round draft pick) for all 3 players, and this is where the new father/son draft selection rules are good. Had they been in place when these guys were selected, we may have been able to use a final round selection to pick them up.
I know this is all with the benefit of hindsight, but perhaps with the exception of maybe Dempster, I don't remember much interest from other clubs in any of our F/S selections.Comment

Big Sam can feel a bit unlucky, but I think he is sure to get his rookie spot back. Three rookie elevations in one year is unusual, but All are justified. Cheese was a no brainer, Those who haven't seen the reserves play will be surprised at how good Cracker is. He was dominant in the first half of the season, suspect his elevation was in the bag by then and he was asked to take a back seat in the second half of the year while others showed their wares. Brennen was not anywhere near fit at the start of the season, but at the end he proved that his body was up to it again. Probably what the club had in mind when they rookied him as an OP crock. So no room for Sam, but play it again next year and your time will come.Pay peanuts get monkeysComment

Amazing how almost no players in their mid 20s who are on the outer, are delisted by the Swans. They all 'retire'. Especially if they are under contract. Bunch of geniuses at the Swans administration.
A fit Donk post-2004 proved that he was at least as good as Jolly. However, "a fit Donk" is of course an oxymoron, so that was the end of that. Good luck to 'im in the future.
Congrats to Cheese, Jack and Brennan. Only one of whom should ever play as a specialist defender for the Swans' senior team.
So, Sydney will have 40 senior players in its squad next year, and only 3 specialist ruckmen. One of whom is barely out of (oversized) nappies, and another of whom is 48 years old. We taking much of a risk, you think? Imagine the nightmare scenario where both Jolly and Everitt go down-- are we gonna get the Weagles and the Pahhhhr with the 1, 2, 3 sucker-punches of LRT, Richards and Playfair? Or drag Goodesie and his knees out of ruck retirement yet again?Comment
