Why all the pessimism? Didn't I see in the paper this morning where Dr Gibbs said that if rehab goes to plan he will be back late in the season.

          Yeh right.

?It?s usually a nine month job so hopefully I can play some footy this year? I?ll do everything I can to get back for finals, if we get there and play then.

?Whether or not I can get into the team by then is another story.?
The only thing that would keep him out of the team, if he did come back in 9 months, is fitness, surely.

That, and the fact that it will be November
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

A positive attitude is what you need to perform miracles so he will do everything in his power to get back as soon as possible.

Can you say whether that news is good or bad?

Perhaps some radical new treatment for knee injuries developed in France and he could be back mid season...I would love to see that!!

Malceski surgery a success | The Daily Telegraph

Here's the news on what they've done differently. Doesn't mention what the side effects / risks are - ie whether there's any greater chance of reinjuring it. But sounds optimistic.

And Malceski's op seems to have been effective, they might as well put young Thorton through the same treatment.
