Rotten luck. Could have happened any time tho' based on what we saw. Was it the same knee as 2005?

A major blow for us. For us to have a strong season, I felt that we had to have a similar run of luck with injuries like in 05. The run of Malceski will hurt alot.

However, Mattner will negate that slightly and like others have already mentioned O'Dwyer looked good today too.

I know I shouldn't say this, but why couldn't it be McVeigh, Mathews or Bevan? Losers seem to cruise through every damn season

Malceski walked off without too much discomfort but I remember previous knees where Craig O'Brien ran the boundary after doing his. Kelly ran off the ground after his.

It just seem to vary but might depend on the area of the tear and the degree of instability.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Based on today's performance you would think O'Dwyer has a chance of promotion.

I inagine the Swans will do promotion after the real season has started. You would think the rookies would be playing themselves to the ground for the next few weeks.

Pity Brendan or Jake didn't make an appeareance today but realistically, you won't see either of them anywhere near the firsts for atleast another year.

I'm pretty sure Saddo didn't even limp as he casually strolled from the ground after doing his knee at the SCG (sadly only a couple of games into having been seemingly successfully moved to FF).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I think Kelly ran from the ground. IIRC.
