Do we really need his right leg?

    Exactly
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

No, it was his left that was reconstructed in '05.

So, we'll have another player with dodgy knees now. What a terrible luck happening to a very talented player.

I hate the @@@@ing Ansett Cup.

Yes it is, but I would feel a le22 Pi22ed off if it happened to a le22er player.

No, I have no problem with practice matches. I have a problem with a "pre-season cup". There is only one competition that counts, the regular season. Practice matches are a much more effective way of preparing players. Practive matches aren't official so the limited interchange and other rule changes do not apply thus more senior players/players returning from injury, can be more easily eased into the pace of the new season.

That's exactly what I am saying above.

The point in this particular case though, is that this injury had nothing to do with it being a pre-season cup game. It could have happened anywhere, anytime, even at training. He went to change direction, there was no contact, and his knee went. It had nothing to do with reduced interchange.

Hypothetically speaking.....next week, Adam Goodes plays in a practice match and the same thing happens.....how is it any different to what happened yesterday?

                  I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Well, we'd all blame you for starters.

Super disappointed for Malceski. Especially after his great season last year. Hopefully, he'll be back next year playing as if nothing had happened!!
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

Is Malceski off contract at the end of this season?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

ABC 5pm news confirmed that he's out for the season.

Devastating for him and it gives Roos some headaches devising this season's game plan. Stay healthy Tiger.

Probably the worst feeling i've got (footy related) since the siren went after the 06 grand final.
