Had everything to do with his performance. He was unfit (disgracefully) for a young small, poor aerobic capacity, low workrate, failed to work hard off the ball and tackled poorly. He was a poor man's Davo without his goalkicking accuracy. Moore and Jack will be more than adequate replacements.

Yes, LA made the same observation.Originally posted by Dr DiabolicalI agree with your point on wait until the regular season starts and see how consistent he is - very important.
However, I can't necessarily agree with the above quote. Schneider was a young player and we have kept older players like J Bolton and Mathews and Crouch.To which I replied.In the end I guess we will just have to wait and see how he performs in the season proper.
IMO he will be no different to when he played with us. Great when he was on song, but that was not often enough for a player of his capabilities.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Played well for the saints, has great hands in traffic, but i know im happy with the trade.. Without it we wouldnt have Mattener..
Besides i never thought we had enough room for Buchanon and Schnider, both can play similar roles, and i reckon Moore will just as good if not better as a repalcement.Comment

LOL @ people saying Schneider playing well in the pre-season doesn't mean anything, and yet talking about Bird winning brownlows based on the same thing.Comment

It's very simple:
Roos traded Schneider. It follows that Schneider;
- gave us nothing, was fat, unmotivated and bad for the team;
- was unBloodslike; and
- will never achieve anything at another club (trading him was a stroke of genius - suckers!)
Roos drafted Bird and gave him #14. It follows that Bird;
- is the answer (unless of course he is traded at some later stage, then replace Bird for Schneider in the above).
This is based on the standard RWO position that all decisions made by the club are made by Roos and that Roos is perfect (he won us a flag etc). There is no reason why pre-season form cannot be interpreted to reinforce the standard position.Comment

Yep its a shocker. Many club supporters have trust and confidence in a coach who managed a team which had few outstanding stars but won and almost won a consecutive flag against the odds, the predictions of so-called experts and one of the best teams of the last twenty years. Silly us.Bevo bandwagon driverComment
