If he doesnt play and is not injured i would suggest it has something to do with a couple of things that have been mentioned already, either 1 He hasnt been putting in hard enough and was told he needed to show more and hasnt. 2 He hasnt delivered on his ability for quite some time and they have had enough( Having the ability to win games and kick goals from 50 is alot diff from doing it and he hasnt for a while). or 3 Hes done something stupid off field again. Alot of people on here bag players solely on stats of how many kicks they get or how many tackles they make. If you had ever played the game you would understand these things arent the only things you judge a persons game on.Sometimes a player might hold an opposition player to half his normal Quota and only get 5 kicks himself but has a win for the team against his direct opp and goes unnoticed.

There are so many variables to why Davis may have been dropped but i would Suggest that unless anyone here is on the coaching staff and knows the reason that you all stop thinking emotionaly and bagging them and wait to find out.

davis would have to of done something pretty bad considering his performance in comparison to people like bevan was never saying they play identical positions.

In that long ramble of yours you speak of a number of things that make up a performance, i havent seen bevan do anything worthwhile, this isnt school footy where if you try hard you get a game surely?
Theres not much left to say

You were probably there, as he has never had a great game.

Im sure that he has contributed enough to hold his position. i was refering to people saying why was Davis dropped after one game on form when guys like Goodes, Bolton, Ablett weren't. Just because the guy won won game in 05 doesnt make him untouchable

He very nearly won the game for us on Saturday night as well. Bevan, on the other hand lost it for us when he couldn't man up in defense, whilst his player was kicking a goal.

Davis is a senior player. I expect that a senior player would have tried a lot bloody harder to kick straight to win the game last weekend.

He had the opportunity - and poor skills lost us the game.
              Are you actually serious?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I understand that, but it actually seems that players like Jude, Bevan, McVeigh etc still have brownie points stored away, though I'm not sure where they got them. If Davis is the player we have to drop to improve the most, then I know nothing.

Maybe your not privy to what hes asked to do each week from the coach. As i said you shouldnt always judge a player on how many kicks he gets

Maybe you dont. Ill back the guy whos played over 300 Afl games and coached a side to a premiership over a fan if you dont mind

Oh sorry God forbid you might be wrong. Ill just shut up then shall i until my opinion is the same as yours. Its funny how you are so quick to bagg people but cant handle copping a bit back if someone dissagrees with you. maybe it should be REDANDBAGONLINE and only you and your educated friends with the same opinion should be allowed on....

Lol, you're funny. Stick around because I need a laugh What's the point in discussing this, if some tosser is always going to throw that "The coach is always right" line in there. It's utterly pointless and defeats the purpose of a constructive argument between supporters.

You should probably also know that even if you've played 350 games of football, you can still make mistakes, and I believe Roos is making one right now. Anyone can use the argument you used, it applies to anyone who isn't the coach, but then this website would be void.

Im just giving my opinion that i dont find it unbelievable that Davis would be dropped on his performances over the last two seasons and im happy for Roos to do what he thinks best. Hes the one who knows exactly what is going on 24/7 with these guys and i find it strange that people on here are so quick to point out that he hasnt changed things or taken risks with young players or game plans but when he does he gets smashed from pillar to post. lets see what happens tomorrow, i reckon hell play anyway and i hope he kicks 6 and we win.

I reckon your right PTB,but it does seem odd to us humble supporters for a coach to drop a player who is a known goal kicker, when if fact there were at least 3/5 players last week who performed worse.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

I reckon they must think hes not delivering enough for his ability which is the same reason the Pies were happy to let him go. The bloke can play, just doesnt do it enough.
