He may even still be eligible for this year's Brownlow if the base points aren't high enough to warrant a suspension. The report doesn't make it clear whether it doesn't warrant a suspension on its own, or with an early plea discount taken into consideration.

I've just gone and taken another look at it. My TV's not up to much (badly need to get myself a new one) but I can't even see his elbow swinging close enough to make contact. It looks like a shrug, with any contact completely accidental, and it may even be that contact came from the shoulder, not the elbow.

Well, I think it's still a pile of frog @@@@. (No offence Frog.)

              They have to challenge it.

Well, if he gets a week off it's a pity that it's the week when we're playing away. He would have been sitting up in the Brewongle with Spida if we were at the SCG next week. Damn. I could have stalked him.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I expect they will, but the problem he's run into is the carry over points he has from the incident last year - the charge itself wouldn't have normally incurred a suspension.

The carry over points are always a worry. Best to wipe them off now than in the finals.

Mark Fine??, on SEN last night suggested that it was not a deliberate act, and he would be surprised if Goodes didn't get off.

He has been very vocal regarding the Carroll incident from last year.

Was it worthy of a 1 match suspension?

                        Obviously.

Was he suspended last year and then had it downgraded to reprimand?
Or did he accept an early plea which discounted the points?

Yep, both came off afterwards and clutched their shoulder/head respectively. Chad Cornes was on the angry pill, also tried to start a fight with Ablett.

Let me say this, after reading the crapfest on Bigfooty, saying that Goodes is a dirty player and has history of such offence, I am glad, I have my own forum, and on here.

That site is the worse site in history, and they did me a favour banning me, I would have been ripping into those filthy trolls who have no @@@@ing idea! I hate that site with a passion, with some of the garbage that is being said.

Demonstrating passion is all good and well but to be honest by snapping back at the trolls on there probably gave them the repsonse they wanted and in the end did nothing for you but got yourself banned.

                              Don't stoop to their level.

I am banned for defending the West Coast Eagles ironically not the Sydney Swans mate.

I said, I am grateful that I am banned from that pathetic site, otherwise they would have copped it from me.
