Moore well i think you know what i thought of him.

Probably Eski's worst ever game but will get back into it soon.

Schmidt just popped up with some crucial players at the death of the game but was no where before it.

Jack just keeps getting better and better.

Bird, maybe it's time to give Schmidt his spot. Wasn't in it at all. Has had a great run though.
Yeh but isn't it great to know that Bird is of the same mould as Moore and is only 18. He still did a couple of hard things and you might find he didn't have a lot of ground time today.

Heaven forbid if they lost the free kick count.
Despite the comeback from Port, the slow start came back to bite them in the end.

Well Connolly, you might have got it right. Bevan is much improved and for mine that was about his best game. He appears to have improved his ability to give off quicker by hand and is making better kicking decisions.

I'd say they have every reason to. If they were going against us I would be spewing. I can't remember a last quarter where we gifted like we were today. It's damn nice for a change

Jude Bolton had his best game for a very long time. Would be nice if that performance became a common occurrence.

I missed the first half but saw most of the last 2 quarters. When Port hit the lead I thought we looked gone, gutsy effort to come back, the guys needed a gritty win like that for their confidence. Bit like the last quarter of the 2005 GF IMO. Moore was great again, another strong body as one R. Walls would put it, but he's got the skills to match! Great tackle by Jack in the forward line leading up to McVeigh's goal.

Didn't see many of Ebert's goals but he is a gun so not surprised that he gave Leo a tough time.

I saw the last five minutes of the second quarter and about half of the third quarter (I split up my lunch break at work over half time ), but that wasn't really enough to judge how well we played. From what I saw, LRT and Bird both looked good, but apparently that wasn't the case for the entire game. How was LRT's game? Looking at the stats, he picked up a few possessions (16) and marks (6), and was equal second for the game in rebound 50s with 4. But I guess his disposal must have been pretty @@@@, because his SC score is low, indicating a few clangers. Anyway, I'm probably watching the game tomorrow, so I guess I'll know then.

Also, from the small amount I saw, Bird looked to be tagging Rodan. Was this for the entire game? Because if it was, judging by the stats, he looks like he broke even.

Meh, I'm just happy we won. Sounds as if Rhino kicked straight as well, which is a relief.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

The fox commentary was disgraceful today- you could of swore had you not known that there were 3 port adelaide life long supporters commentating for large parts of it.

A very gutsy win, especially to come from behind in the last quarter. I thought we were gone, but a couple of our young blokes + our champion leader Kirky stood up when it counted and we got what we needed desperately, the 4 points!

Poor old Leo had a torrid old time today, probably shouldnt have been on Ebert I guess, but Im not sure he did as bad as some would like to make out. Ebert was very very good today for them.

As for us, Kirky was fantastic (He is imo going to end up an all time great of the club- at least in Sydney for there are few ever to play the game with the determination and courage he shows), O'Keefe looked dangerous finally in front of goals, Schmidt did ok on his return, Bevan I think has come a long way since last season, and well Moore was simply sensational!

                                So true Mike.
He was terrible though thought Pickers was trying to get us over the line.

Great win by the boys ! We cant complain they never give in.Well coached today, thought Jude And Kirky were instrumental in the win.
Though the pleasing thing is the output from the younger brigade.

Moorey : What more can we say, bloody tough nuggety little bastard.
Jack : What a tackle in the last quarter and run as well.
Tim Schmidt : Glad to see him back, Didnt do much though didnt make a mistake all day and a great goal to hurt the bogans in Adelaide.
Jarred McVeigh : Another solid contribution.
Paul Bevan : Some on here must be hating his form at the moment.

Also what a coup Martin Mattner is.

Best win since the Grand Final & alot to look forward to now.
Malceski : 2 games in , Kennelly & Hall to come in. Davo in the background.
Next 3 weeks are critical though.
