I think you are both wrong because I reckon Pickering was worse. He bags us on SEN and always has reasons why we can't win on Thursday AFL teams on Fox.

He said at 3Q time that Port only had to play the way they were and "they should win". He looked genuinely disappointed after the game.

The times he groaned when Port didn't get a free and cheered when we got a HTB against us. Chose to not mention the couple of obvious throws by Port and what about his whinge when Gray got pinged for HTB. What a tosser.

There are at least 2 threads on Bigfooty and multiple posters here that suggest otherwise.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Looking at the stats, he picked up a few possessions (16) and marks (6), and was equal second for the game in rebound 50s with 4. But I guess his disposal must have been pretty @@@@, because his SC score is low, indicating a few clangers. Anyway, I'm probably watching the game tomorrow, so I guess I'll know then.
You are about to get a lesson on why stats are irrelevant.....

LRT was terrible. All his stats were cheap ones and he coughed it up just about everytime. He had about 5 stats in one passage of play but only because his disposal was so poor. Someone had to go get his terrible hand pass or kick, and then found themselves under immense pressure and then hand balled it back to him..... hence the numbers against his name...

Haha, OK, just wondering! I have to admit, I did see him deliver a shocking handball about a metre behind Jack, which proceeded to roll away to a Port player. Jack did extremely well to make it a contest in that case. But apart from that, what I saw looked OK. Pity that. He was looking decent last week. At the moment I'm 50/50 on whether he should stay in the side (I want him to because he's in my SC and DT teams!), but really, with Jude having such a good game, who else can you drop for Kennelly? Malceski? Nah. Bird? After his game against the Dons, he has credits for another month, I reckon. Playfair? One and a half good games out of three isn't dropping material. Buchanan was apparently back in good form today. Luke Ablett hasn't got a mention so far, I don't think, but he has been solid so far this season. Tim Schmidt scored 105 SC points (although only 49 DT points, less than half!), so he must have been doing very good work with his 11 disposals. I guess there's nothing for it but LRT out, Kennelly in. Which upsets me, because I am a genuine fan of LRT. Maybe a spell in the ressies will allow him to work back into some form. Here's hoping!
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Can I just say, the in's of Mattner & Moore for Dempster & Scheinder have been a master stroke.

I was happy on paper with what the club did at the end of last year, but in all honesty they knew exactly what they were doing with Moore being ready to play and targeting Mattner.

They must've had the local bumpkins commentating so that's not unusual.

I can't believe a Port supporter on BF believed the umps cost them the game.

                      What he said.
In the end, a thriller, a truly heart-palpitating game. And good games across the board, even if the back six leaked a bit today.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Just finished watching the game on video.

One thing I love about the Swans is their ability to just guts out games against the tide. Most sides, if they're leading all day and fall behind halfway through the last quarter and the opposition have all the momentum, go on to lose by 4 or 5 goals.

Even though Schmidt (and McVeigh) got the glory, the win was Moore's. I was thrilled with how great this guy was come round 5-- and he's got progressively better since then. And he's proved that he can really deliver when the pressure is highest. Who was the last guy to win a Mulrooney and a Brownlow Medal? (Just joking: gee, I know better than to put that kind of pressure on him.)

Smart move (if only an accidental one) by Roos to not give Schmidt a lot of game-time in the first 3 quarters, because even the speedsters were dead on their feet by the last and so to have a few fresh legs made all the difference.

It is hard to count how many close games that we have won, that we would not have won without Kirk. Not just because of his work in close (although that is extraordinary); he always runs to provide a loose option when the ball-carrier is stuck. He makes Ryan O'Keefe look lazy. He is worthy of being put in the same bracket as Paul Kelly.

Appeared to be Mattner's best game for the club. And agree with whoever said that it was possibly Malceski's worst. No point playing in 'miracle comeback' games if you're tentative and underdone; which he looked.

Oh, and Henry Playfair tries hard but could politely be described as a 'depth player'/'third tall'. I think Ed Barlow is always going to be better as an Adam Goodes-style free roamer rather than a classical KPP. If Jesse White isn't being groomed as the focal point in attack when BBBH and MOL are gone circa 2010, then we need to pretty shortly work out who is.

Painting duties kept me for the first time in however many years from watching an away game live, but I managed it and watched the events of the afternoon in the evening and wow bloody wow, that was a corker. Moore is just a star, Timmy you beauty, Mal, take your time, Marty, we love you, Bevan, you are a good player so believe it, Kirk, Goodes, Craigy, Jude - you were all superb today. I don't have anything pithy or witty to add, just wanted to join this e-love-in for our boys. Love em.

All the 50-50's that went Port's way - stoney silence

Ditto Sydney's way - Tony Shaw and co. went into a Union official propaganda-style rant

In the end we won and deservedly so. Moore, Kirk, Jack, Mattner, McVeigh all superb. Bring on the Tigers!!
