    How about:

"Yep feelin good. ? can nail this"

First round last quarter against St Kilda 2008, as Davo bombs away from outside the 50 metre mark and misses. Over the despairing heads of numerous leading Bloods forwards.

    And

"Not feelin so good. Stuff this. I'm buggered"

In every quarter against Geelong 2008 as his rebounding opponent disappeared into the distance of Kardinia Park and into the Bloods defensive 50.

I'm certain we discussed that at length at the time?

He can hardly be criticised for going for goal in one of the worst games for the year where we kicked only 6 goals in an entire match. It was a pathetic Swans performance where someone had to stand up to try and win it for us.

It's never been stated why he was dropped after that game but I doubt it was because of that kick.

The comments about this game continue to be ludicrous. Davis took three shots from the 50m line. One goal, one behind and one dropped short. Hall and ROK (and some others) would have (and have done in the past) taken similar shots. The one that dropped short was a handball from MOL as a set play, as most other sides do. To that stage of the game the rest of the team had kicked 5 (yes, five) goals in over three quarters of football in perfect conditions. Laying the blame at Davis' door for our inability to kick goals in that game is yet another example of your reinvention of history.

This was discussed in detail at the time and your assessment on Harley rebounding off half back were shown in detail to be wrong. Another example of you inventing scenarios and presenting them as fact.

I hope you're not talking about the 2005 Semi-Final? Nick Davis apart from his faults, was brilliant that night. He did more in one quarter than the Paul Bevan's entire career.

Okay, sorry to nitpick but you did explicitly state in every quarter of that game. So at best it was for 3/4, and considering we lost that game in the final quarter (where Davis' man had little impact at all) I'm not certain how telling the damage done was.

clearly this thread has been taken over by a tool

id actually like to discuss the real issues in relation to davis.

We have seen a few different articles on him this week. Whys this? Well i think people outside of the swans be its interstate media, opposition supporters, other clubs perhaps, are wondering where davis is. He is despite any problems people wanna rant on and on and on about, a talented player who would arguably be in others sides best 22 right now.

In fact it would be a rare person who follows footy and the swans seriously who didnt consider davis to be in our best 22 at the start of the season.

Im not sure about these quotes from his manager, i presume he was approached, i personally thought big woop, who cares,. Davis himself has said nothing throughout all of this rubbish which i think shows a big improvement in him as a person.

his manager said he might end up looking elsewhere and might have to explore other options. so? he might, he is looking after a client.

today we actually hear a lot of positives from two key people at the club, roosy and magic. Good to see, even seems to me like roosy is trying to give davis a boost and dangle a carrot in front of him.

I think it shows roos knows what most swans fans know we are a better team with davis in form in the side, other teams would prefer to face us without him for a start. He draws a decent defender and as magic said creates the play.

the distant past isnt important he did his time for that even in roosys eyes im guessing, im sure if roosy wanted davis out he wouldnt be on the list now.

i think its been a positive week for davis and i think even if his career is over at the swans he has handled himself well, not many players take being told to go back to the ressies for a month well. If he wanted he could of easily sounded off in the media but he hasnt.

hes been a good player for this club (not an all time great) and deserves a bit more respect from some fans if u ask me.

You're inventing reasons to fit the outcome and stating them as fact, when the only fact is he is playing in the reserves. He was dropped after the StKilda game but was not dropped until after the 'Roos game, which was after the Geelong game. So your 'factual statement' seems to be wrong again.
