I think that is looking at it the wrong way,

Every incident should be looked at individually.
Goodes should not have gone for something insignificant based on more significant occurrences in the past.

and he's got suspended to a far lesser degree. if anyone pushes the derailing line, they need a real dose of perspective (or is it fundamental arithmetic)

Simply protecting himself as he ran through a pack of players.
Wasn't off the ball.
Did no damage - if he even made contact.
It's rubbish.
More like the AFL offering Goodes up for all those begging for blood.
