Two weeks if he unsuccessfully challenges. Serves him right - he should have got the message by now.

Well, his own fault that he will miss our biggest home match of the year.

Hmm, wonder if that'll cost us the Pies game.

Fair enough. Goodes has been treading a fine line and that incident while soft was just utterly stupid. Just attempt to get the @@@@ing ball! Why run through a pack and risk it?

Take the one week can't risk him being out for the Dawks match.

I thought there was NOTHING in that.
This game is going down the @@@@ter when you get a week for this rubbish.

The good thing is we have been winning without a big contribution from him but he usually gets the best taggers from the opposite side...

He deserves it, you'd think he'd learn from the West Coast game...

I think that is looking at it the wrong way,

Every incident should be looked at individually.
Goodes should not have gone for something insignificant based on more significant occurrences in the past.

even the biggest carpers are going to struggle to maintain their form over one week.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

                        Very true.

People will come down on him, don't worry about that.
If you want to get technical, Goodes has done exactly what Hall did (get suspended) only to a different degree.

basis of the points system and he's pushed it time and again.

and he's got suspended to a far lesser degree. if anyone pushes the derailing line, they need a real dose of perspective (or is it fundamental arithmetic)

I don't think he pushed it.
Simply protecting himself as he ran through a pack of players.
                              Wasn't off the ball.
Did no damage - if he even made contact.
                              It's rubbish.
More like the AFL offering Goodes up for all those begging for blood.
