Where most people have a brain, Hall has an echo bouncing around that says "I think that guy said something about your mum, deck him!".

Playfair would struggle to get a game for the Bunbury Bulldogs. I'm not joking, they're ferocious!

The kids (Jack, Moore and Bird) will be fine but they need a rest.

The Eski may never be the same again, though to be fair I'll re think that comment at the end of the season.

    Everitt.....just stop. We wouldn't notice.

We have one plan. It only looks like we have another plan when we play @@@@ sides.

The SCG is our true home and provides us with an actual advantage. Opposition teams must love it when they see ANZ on their fixture.

    Couldnt agree more.....

Ive seen far better players in my local footy than Playfair...he can take a grab, but thats it

think blight summed that up saying a lot of it would be collingwoods intensity dropping off and being worn out from the grind it takes to beat us.

        Rubbish game of football.

So presumably on that analysis we only keep Kirk and Bolton for next week?

                oops.

On a more positive note, I think Bird has a lot of class and is going to be the best of the younger guys who have come in this year.

He gets caught a bit, but he knows how to create and find a teamate in a better position in heavy traffic.

Aside from Hall, who I think should be kicked back to Canberra by the so called leadership group (show some balls), I think the other person (besides Leo Barry) who should be accountable for this mess is Paul Roos. Tonight's game has been a pretty fair facsmile of the previous encounters because Roos is unable or unwilling to accept that to beat Collingwood we have to go beyond doctrine (i.e. tackle more) and come up with a plan and execute it. They know how our game and they know how to exploit it.

On the basis of what I have seen tonight, I think this is definitely Spida's and Leo Barry's last year and we are headed for a bottom top eight position.

Thank god for C Bolton, Kirk and Jolly. The only ones who played alright.

As I say I'm not sure if this game means a lot either way - under Roos we have always struggled against Collingwood (and Adelaide).

The Hawthorn game will be interesting. We don't really have the right game plan to beat the 'cluster' but we'll see. We can still beat the other sides, but I still don't see that we are a long way ahead of last year, hence I still think we won't make a huge impact in finals.

Completely agree - I was actually thinking exactly the same thing during the game.

Not too sure on Bird - he is OK but doesn't seem special to me.

Jack is a more exciting prospect as I think he is learning every game - goalkicking aside.

Moore will be OK but he was average tonight along with many others.

Jolly, Kirk, and maybe Jude Bolton and Craig Bolton in a defensive role were OK.

@@@@s me that we get done by the side I hate most in the league.

I would add Ted Richards to the list as well.

                              Game Over.

                              Collingwood 11.13 79
                              Sydney 6.14 50

Worst performance by the Swans this year. Apart from that burst early in the 4th quarter, the Swans had no momentum in the midfield and the run from the backline was absent at times. Kicking for goal was ordinary, likewise disposal in the backline.

Kirk was best on ground for Sydney, Jolly was pretty good along with Mattner. There were a lot of ordinary performances eg. Malceski, ROK, MOL, Barry, McVeigh, Bevan, Buchanan, etc.

Hall was yet again beaten by Wakelin (who had 22 disposal), with Bazza kicking 1.3 and conceding 5 free kicks. He might come under scrutiny by the MRP for an attempted swing against Wakelin.

Next week against the Hawks, there'll be several changes to the team lineup with Goodes returning. B2 will have to be a lot better to take on Buddy and I can't imagine what will happen if Leo is up against Roughead. The Swans have played well against them in the past but the Hawks are contenders this time around and it's time to turn that crap performance around.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

At least he doesn't resort to swinging a punch at his opponent when fairly beaten.
