There's no irony there. I'm not judging Swann, I'm saying he shouldn't judge Davis based on their brief time at the same club. I'm not accusing anyone of being a "@@@@ person or @@@@ bloke", I'm simply suggesting some should reserve their judgement.

          Swans ask for Davis apology.
Swans coach Paul Roos thinks the comments were in bad taste.

?I think that is inappropriate for a CEO of another footy club,? Roos said. ?Maybe if Greg had his time over again I wouldn?t have thought he would say something like that because Nick is a really likeable kid. He is a good kid who wouldn?t harm anyone. I am very disappointed to hear Greg say that.?

Roos said he had asked Baron-Hay to call Swann.

?I have asked Myles to speak to Greg because that is appropriate,? Roos said. ?It is not a big issue for us but I think we need to get that across. I mean, I wouldn?t speak about a Carlton player like that.?

When asked if he thought an apology was in order, Roos replied: ?Well, I would have thought so. Obviously Greg has dealt with Nick in the past. To say that publicly is inappropriate and pretty poor.?

Not impressed by that response. Should have been much, much more resolute.

You actually said he should keep his mouth shut and that he had no right to judge Davis because he didn't know him.

Regardless, it's not the place of the CEO to bag out opposition players - that we can agree on.

                      Thank goodness.
I thought I'd lost the conductor of the bandwagon.

                            I doubt that very much.

Anyone who thinks that players don't shop around on the quiet has rocks for brains.

Unfortunately, Davo's manager (who is essentially a "rugby league" man) has no bloody idea how to keep his mouth shut. Maybe he's just pushing the swans buttons, trying to see which one will keep Davo at the club with a pay rise (ala Jude Bolton).

The swans have other things to concentrate on at the moment (e.g. trying to get to the granny).

If Davo's manager can't see that and shut the F up ...

Here's the proper way of getting out of your contract ... (albeit for injury purposes, not for going to another team).
