The swans have other things to concentrate on at the moment (e.g. trying to get to the granny).

If Davo's manager can't see that and shut the F up ...

Im pretty sure it would be the same for the AFL. Wether you can prove it happened or not is another thing, although its strange that his manager seems to be flaunting it in public as he doesnt think it is a problem coming from RL where they sign up for other clubs a year in advance. Is it diff though to clubs trading players without their knowledge
(as has happened in the past) while they are on end of season trips. At the end of the day if the club dont want him and he wants out and is out of contract let him talk too whoever he likes and lets concentrate on trying to figure out how the @@@@ we can beat GEELONG
I agree with you Annie as i had said here earlier. The point i was making too ROK was that even though we know it happens it shouldnt be put out in the media.

Ryan Hargreaves takes one step back and lands one straight on his chin, Black goes down like a heap of @@@@ and doesn't move. Laughed with great gusto and liked Hargreaves ever since (although he got 4 weeks from memory).

Where are the calls for Jonathan Brown to be sacked from Brisbane?

McNamee had been deep in talks with Brown's management, offering the player the five-year $5 million-plus contract that it would take to bring him home to Victoria. Once Stynes got wind of the negotiations he put a stop to them.

God this is becoming tiresome - what ever happens with Nick, none of us will know the real story. All we can do is wish him well whether he is with the Swans or not. Hopefully he will be back for us, if not so be it. Give the boy some peace!

I think it's fair enough to stand up for Nick when one poster in particular persists in slandering his character, and especially in light of today's revelations that the management of the captain of a club has also engaged in secret discussions with the CEO of another club.

I have stood up for Nick Davis from day one (read previous posts on other threads and you will see that) - My "god this is becoming tiesome" was meant to be taken in such a way that you get to a point where you just cant keep fighting for the cause any longer and you just have to let nature take its course. Its all now between the club and Nick and as I have said previously too I would have Nick Davis in our side over a number of other players anyday. What the Carlton bloke said (who took off from the Pies too) was just stupid and irresponsible. Lets see what transpires.

?Carlton chief executive Greg Swann has apologised for referring to Sydney player Nick Davis as "not a great bloke" based on his experience with him when both were at Collingwood.

Swans spokesman Stephen Brassel yesterday said club chief executive Myles Baron-Hay had discussed the matter with Swann and received an apology. "Myles spoke to Greg and Greg acknowledged that what he said was inappropriate and asked Myles to relay a message to Nick Davis apologising," he said.
                  Piss poor apology.

At the very least he should apologise direct to Nick. I'm sure he would be able to find his phone number if need be.

The fact Swann isn't even man enough to apologise to Nick directly settles once and for all who is not a great bloke.

                            That's hardly the reason.

You think Brown should be sacked too?

The point is he could be, as it is probably a breach of contract, express or implied, unless he has an express term in his contract permitting mid season negotiations. The Lions punted Aker and whilst i doubt they have the ticker to bone Brownie personally i hope they do and he comes to Sydney for some rehab and a premiership. Which he will never win under the old clapped out thug.

I assume in this fantasy land you're ignoring his three premiership medals.
