    That's not quite true.

So is your habit of always backing anything the opposition team/player does. I'm not justifying what Hall did, but don't act like Staker was standing there and sipping tea.

It seems a few people only looked when Hall landed the punch. Looks like we've discovered Pappa Staker's secret identity.

People like to call Hall's incident a 'brain snap'

Solomon came charging at a player, raiser his elbow and connected purposefully to the head, causing significant damage.

              If I had to rate them on a 1 - 10 scale.....

              Hall - 6
              Solomon - 9

Staker was doing what most defenders do - annoying his opponent, grabbing at him, and seeing what he can get away with. Every defender does it, including (especially) ours. They just don't expect their opponent to punch them in the face.

Just as Ling didn't ask to be elbowed in the face, Staker didn't ask to be felled by a left hook. The niggling of opposing players happens a hundred times a match and rarely end up in a bloke being belted.

Both incidents are equally as bad as each other.

My point was that they were infact wrestling, which is what you just admitted. I'm not sure what the point of your rant was, except to agree with me.

Wrestling tends to mean something different to what I was saying he was doing.

Not necessarily, plus what you described wasn't all that went on. I'm not sure why you're choosing to ignore it.

Because the original comment that Staker should have expected Hall to punch him in the face seems bizarre.

Retaliation such as a forceful shove not a full-blooded punch to the face.

This is the comment I'm referring to.

Secondly, Staker was hardly going to see Hall's punch coming (I don't think Staker realised they were actually wrestling!).

Thirdly, I think they're both equally bad.
That's laughable. I'll say it again, he was all over Hall and what they were doing could be described as wrestling.

And to clarify again I consider what was happening something you see every week at football between defenders and opponents, and no defender expects a retaliation like that.
