Goodes could work in the ruck I agree but I think what he offers around the ground is so much more important to us. Perhaps we should just drop Everitt and let Jolly do almost all the work with LRT/Goodes to help and play another midfielder or perhaps another tall to play up forward- I would like to see White play some more. Jolly came within a whisker (And perhaps a baby as well) of carrying us by himself in the ruck to the flag in 06, I reckon he could do it again. Its sad to see Everitt like he is- the footy brain is still in good working order but the mind is far from it.
Kennelly to the wing would be a waste imo. I would love to see Tadhg playing almost as a runner just off Goodes- let Goodesy get the hard ball and give it off to the Irishman through midfield. I think if you want to move on of the back players to the wing, it probably should be Mattner to go. Hall to the wing isnt such a bad suggestion, certainly has worked alright for Richo. It is such a pity that ROK has such a big tank in one sense and runs so hard, as I would love to see him given a proper chance at a true CHF position. I know his kicking has been terrible this year but I still reckon he could be an absolute gun playing there with perhaps BBB out of the goal square.

Back on topic though, congrats to Matty O- was impressed with what I saw last year in the few opportunities I did get to see the reserves play. I reckon he has a lot of potential and certainly will get in and have a real dig on Sunday in what is now a massive game for us after tonight.

You would like Goodes in defence you would like him up forward would like him running through the centre though in all those positions he gets tagged closely he and has no space to work in for most of the game in the ruck though you get first hands on the ball and tap it to where you want to run no other ruckman can beat Goodes once the ball hits the ground.
When it's finals time use it as a plan B.

Goodes and Jolly rucking beats Jumbucks and LRT, which, at the moment, is better than any combination that includes Petered Out?. I seem to recall Everitt, returning from past injuries, looking "challenged" for a couple games before finding his geekrythym. When he's on - he can kick a few, and spider taps all over Goodes, bursting.

One more game, against the young, athletic and young Carlton rucks, for Petered Out? to lift and show some form - or it's brooding, bemoaning blubbering, bawling and ballyhooing in the back of the bus to the boondocks, babycakes.

LRT is good in the clinches in the ruck and often gets the second or third touch after (he misses) the tap. Like thousands of his teammates, he's semi-struggling with his current assignment. If he goes to Purgatory I hope it's as a ruckman.

Right now, I think this team needs Goodes to get his kicks with a little Time. Spida to kick 4 and play well against the Underbellys?
I was wrong about Gerard and his hair.
