Since when has a Swans team run onto the ground as named? We have evidence that both NOG and Macca are carrying injury, and how many (either real or fabricated) do we not know about? I will not believe Scooter and Reg have been dropped until I see the team run out Saturday. Usual Roos smoke and mirrors stuff.
actually bird is very slow and weak in the tackle. But kirk is also very slow. I am not quite convinced that bird will be a gun midfielder, but Nic Fosdike would not have been classed a gun midfielder at any stage of his career in the afl either i guess. I'd be happy enough if he achieves what fosdike has achieved.

Bird is not particularly slow for the type of midfield role he's likely to play. He'd leave Sam Mitchell or Daniel Harris in his wake. In terms of his tackling, he's laid some ball-buster at times this year and he was a tackling machine at U18 level. But look at his body. It is still the body of a 19yo and he clearly has a lot of work to do to get it to the body of a regular senior midfielder. But that's pretty typical of most teenagers thrown into the deep end of senior footy (including Veszpremi).
Have to vent our frustration somewhere Scott.
I don't think the reactions are remarkable, given how well Veszpremi played last week. Everone's annoyed - not surprised.
Too many blokes surviving on reputation.
Reputation or experience?
I'm disappointed he was dropped, but I'm still confident Vespa will play.
NM will be out for revenge. They have named a big side & will be aggressive.
We will need a side experienced in hard finals footy & will remain calm in the heat of a close game. Swans ins & outs tough but OK.
NM will want fast scoring early - we need to play posession footy for Q1 & 2, open up in Q3 and, if reasonably ahead, stifle again in Q4.

Both.
I think there's a good chance he'll play too. I just don't see the need to do this every week. There's absolutely nothing to suggest that these 'mind games' are helping us win games of footy.

Mind games? What mind games??
It is finals footy, so I guess they are covering there bases.

We took the same approach for the Geelong game and were hammered. Some at the selection table have short memories.

Nice try.
Seriously folks, cliche time ... we have to go with experienced "finals" players. Finals footy is a different game to H&A footy.
ONE MORE SLEEPIE!!!!
(I'm a bit excited.)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
