It doesn't necessarily have to be a Bulldogs player.

    Hall to Dogs
Ray + 1st and 2nd Rounder to Eagles (2nd from Swans, 1st from Dogs)
    Kerr to Swans

Something like that. Just a suggestion.

Dogs desperate for a key-forward whilst their 'window' is open
Swans desperate to get some speed and class into their midfield
Eagles get a 'fair' player who wants to return to WA + good draft picks for a disgruntled player who wants out.

A deal that's good for the club is a broad statement and if you assume different players have different currency you could apply that logic to nearly any player on our list.

Personally I though BBBH was on fire towards the end of the season especially in tandem with Goodes. He was controlling himself, and playing for the team. If he keeps his temper in check and utilizes his aggression properly he'll continue to be one of our most important players. I'd hate to see him leave.

Whilst we probably can afford to lose Hall due to his age and the time to think longer term, we CANNOT afford to lose O'Keefe as well. Losing both would be a disaster.

If the Swans can get a good deal for Hall, go for it.

Reasonable enough suggestion and I'd love to have Kerr. But I'd like to see him hitting Barry Hall on the chest
If we get a quality midfielder, we need to find another power forward and quickly.

There is no way Hall would be traded when he's under contract for only a second round pick.

No, when I wrote that - I was thinking a second rounder and Ray (or someone of similar quality). I hadn't entertained a third club being involved until Triple B brought it up.

I'll sign up for this bandwagon. Hall wasn't missed so much when suspended/injured because ROK stood up (evidence his Brownlow votes and votes in RWO reports, TLM comes later). I also feel we cannot afford to lose both. Disaster? Debatable, leaving a big hole is probably closer. Try and fill the hole left by these two with Farren Ray and Daniel Kerr.

If the right deal came along I'd be happy to take it. Agree with Hammo that it would have to be something significantly better than a 2nd rounder.

Either a first round pick or alternatively a good young player such as Addison or Everitt would be worth considering, although whether the Dogs would go for that is the big question.

A deal would only be worth considering if it is weighted in our favour

While Hall did really finish of the season on a high note, there was still some frustration bubbling under the surface and I am concerned that a brain explosion is around the corner. Coupled with the fact that he has 1-2 seasons maximum left anyway. Plus his efforts and body language in the Pies game was nothing short of a disgrace.

I guess we'll see come trade week

Dont think we could afford to lose ROK as well without dropping significantly down the ladder. If Hall goes, it will free up $500k a season to retain him

                    Barry Hall

What we must all remember is that we are trying to build a stronger side, one that won't be easily pushed aside the next time we are in the finals.

The question we must ask is would we have more value in keeping Barry Hall (for a maximum of 1 or 2 years) or would there be more long term value in obtaining a ready made young midfielder (eg. Kerr/Farren Ray - OK not starring but only 22y.o) plus the possibility of a high draft pick?

It must be pointed out that St.Kilda did quite well even after trading Lockett to us (they made the 1987 Grand Final), Hawthorn has done quite well after letting Nathan Thompson go and I wonder if Collingwood are looking back after trading Chris Tarrant (remembering that alot of supporters thought he was not tradeable)?

As much as I admire what Hall brings to the Swans if a good deal is presented (and it is a win/win for everyone involved) we would be silly not to look at it.

Yeah good on ya, boo the bloke who pretty much with his form all season in 05 got us the flag!

And got us there with two brilliant finals in 2006. Had a quiet GF but people forget the finals.

Don't think I've ever 'booed' anyone and I certainly won't start with Hall.

I can't believe some of the people on this site. We should have some loyalty to Barry Hall. I would rather have him in our team than playing against us for some other team. Whatever happens, I will remember him as a great player for the Swans, and would respect him even if he was playing for another team. So no, like Plugger46 I will never boo him.

Tbat's an entire side. 22 players. All under 25 and all flankers/onballers.

I'm not against trading Hall, but not for another of those. We need to get a quality young tall, young Everitt? Williams? But the Dogs wont trade their young talls for our old one.

There'd need to be a third team involved.

The more i read RWO the more i am convinced we have the biggest peanuts in the league in terms of supporters. Stupid thread and a stupid rumour fabricated by his manager and then "leaked" by the management as fact to the media.

Before we get rid of Hall..lets see how and what we will get for that squib Davis. I think Davis deserves to be spoken as a trade more than Hall!

Can we trade supporters? This is beyond pathetic.
