My dad said that he heard today that carlton are favourites and apparantly deal is okeefe for fisher and their first pick(no.6 overall) I would take that in a heart beat!
Then we can give west coast the top 10 pick they want for Kerr.
Can't see it happening myself but how awesome would it be to get fisher and kerr for okeefe?!

Forgive my ignorance, but is Fisher any good? I never watch Carlton games.

I am concerned that O'Keefe could ultimately make the decision to look after no. 1 and go to the highest bidder who technically would not have to lose anything to the Swans in the preseason draft.

If todays reports about O'Keefe nominating $600,000 on his head are accurate then he could be playing the game, perhaps cutting out all other interested parties and to go to the Blues through the pre season draft. I wouldn't put it past the Blues to play such a game. It would be a pity though if O'Keefe totally disregraded his time at the Swans and ultimately change clubs for no compensation.

Not a bad forward, can take contested marks well but his opportunities have been limited because the Carlton midfielders will kick it to Fev ~90% of the time in which the most goals he's kicked in a single game is 4.

If he came to Sydney, he'd certainly get more opportunities as to what he can do as a forward.

Can play but doesn't do enough in my opinion. Pretty good overhead and has always shown potential but I reckon he's a disappointment.

Can't see Carlton giving up pick 6 and a player.

Yes, Carlton aren't the type to give something back after they've received plenty. Just ask Dick Pratt or John Elliott.

Strange justification/reason...BIG difference winning a GF with your long standing blood brothers and comrades after years of effort and a new club gathered for mercenary reasons and most likely jealous of you as well.

After having given it more thought, I've concluded that they may have to offload Fisher to fit ROK under the cap. Considering ROK would be taking his place in the forward line, they might be offering him the chance to continue his career with us rather than languishing in their reserves.

I think I'd rather have Gibbs.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Gee I hope your Dad is right and wasn't getting the information over a haircut. I'd want us to keep the pick for the draft. Fisher would be blooded.

Sounds like ROK may have fallen into the same territory as Nick Davis because of this? Based on form and these comments, if true, can't see him staying at the club.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.
