I've got the family membership with 4 juniors included. My grandson is really the only one who comes with us, so every year we have 4 lots of hats, balls, clappers, etc. to drag home after game 1.

          For the kids???
          Indeed.

I've already got one of those anyway.

I want a clapper. Club? Do you hear me?

I didn't complain about the cost, however, I have always received a cap in the past and was very disappointed about not getting one. So I went to the Melb office vented my spleen (politely) and they were gracious enough to give me a cap for my wife and I. As far as I'm concerned they could keep all of the knick-knacks, as long as my pack contains a cap (for me), a sticker (for the car) and my membership card, I'm happy.

I've never considered the cost of membership for my wife and I over the past 27 years nor the cost of following South over the past 47 years... But this year I do feel very let down by the Club administration. We live in Canberra and transferred from Sydney membership to Canberra membership last year. For $100 we got entry to the 2 AFL games at Manuka plus the NAB Cup game and 2 games in Melbourne. We collected our cap at the first game at Manuka (v Footscray).

This year for our $100 each we get entry to the 2 games at Manuka but not NAB Cup and 2 games in Melbourne. Along with membership ticket, lanyard, advantage card, sticker sheet and keyring, we received a voucher for a Swans member cap. BUT to redeem the voucher we have to collect the cap at a collection point at either Etihad Stadium (Rd 1 v St Kilda) or MCG (Rd 11 v Hawks). If we are unable to collect at these venues or the Swans Melbourne office we have to pay for them to be posted to us. The cost is $8 for individuals or $20 for a family - figure that out.

I am writing to the Swans Melbourne office to ask why the Canberra members cannot collect their caps at the first game at Manuka as I consider this is total disrespect for loyal members not located in either Sydney or Melbourne. This is causing me to consider NOT re-newing my Swans memebrship next year. For $190 I can become an AFL Canberra member with seats to both Swans games, ALL AFL Canberra games and a host of local functions.

IMHO if the Swans administrators do not respect the members and look after them they will lose people very quickly. So ends the rant from an older and loyal member who is getting very pi...d off!!!

I think the Canberra members should contact Melb office and ask for their caps to be brought to the first game in Canberra. I do not believe you should pay more just to receive the caps. Get them to organise a voucher that allows you to get one from the shops at Manuka on game days.

Cheersquad member see you on Sunday week. Bringing Kylie,Brooke and Amee. So busy day.

We haven't got our memberships yet. One daughter joined up for family membership. Three of us are redbacks and paid up full membership back in October. Some long wait. Very long time in between.

Can anyone tell me re tickets for Brisbane game. Do we just get on to the membership site on Monday. and log in etc. I presume they will have the information up by then.
                Love those Swans

You know I want a membership that covers the fact I watch the Swans in multiple cities. The Melbourne memberships seem to have a tad more flexibility but they still don't meet what I require . I'm going to write to the Swans' Office.

As for us Canberra based supporters it would be nice for hats to be available at Manuka. But still, it's pretty easy to hop on the Swans supporter bus up to Homebush and get your hatt here - or even just ask some other members to pick it up for you.

It is but it's likely that the OP and others here are not dissapointed that the key ring etc that they were 'so looking forward to all year' is @@@@ quality. You would be angry because it really shows that zero effort has been placed into the pack, and if that's the case, doesn't really make you feel like you are valued.

It's a principle and one that applies in many circles. You rock up to a friend's place for dinner. It's all about the food yes, but if the place is an absolute shambles it kind makes you feel a little smaller. Equally so in reverse if you handed your friend a $4 bottle of wine, unless that's all you could afford of course.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

If there's a problem with almost anything you get from a footy club it's that someone has sat down with a marketer and picked items out of a brochure to put a logo on - and it's almost always crap you don't need

Yeah! Like the Premiership Club radios that all broke within a few weeks! Or the SydneySider mini binoculars that had permanent double vision.

Or lanyards that just fit around your neck let alone reach the scanner reader. I'll take my hat, draw and membership card and be very happy thank you very much (and maybe some good quality stickers).

And also that woollen made in Australia offcial AFL endorsed Swans scarf I keep dreaming about
