Apparently if you burn the trinkets supplied, it smells the same.

Are you a full Sydney member? (I have no idea where Milpera is.)

Sydney memberships don't normally arrive until the season is upon us, and we got an email a couple of weeks ago to say they'd arrive just before round 1. Those who have said they already have them are - I believe - all Melbourne members. Thing with Melbourne (and presumably country memberships) is that the cards don't need to be personalised with seats in the same way that the Sydney ones are.

I received a glossy brochure and letter last week asking my family to consider returning in 2009 after missing membership in 2008.

              WTF

I called and assured them my membership is still alive and well in 2009, as it was in 2008 and the years before that.

They confirmed that they had my records of membership and weren't quite sure why I received the letter.

When I asked when membership cards will be sent this year, they told me they would be mailed this week. Tomorrows Friday, but I'm certainly not holding my breath waiting for the postman.

PS. Liz, Milperra is in between Bankstown and Liverpool (Bankstown Airport)
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

Same thing happened to our family. The person on the phone assured me it was jsut a mass-mailout to boost membership numbers and was sent to our house by mistake. Obviously not the only one...

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Someone get Liz a Daytripper train ticket so she can go out and explore Sydney Honestly, first not knowing where Rouse Hill is, now not knowing where Milperra is..

Yes, it would seem most members who have already received their packs are Melbourne members. I assume I will get it sometime between now and the first home game.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Correct in the late 80's, js, more than a few years ago.
Thankfully I went skiing that weekend, not drinking there.

Hey, I know where Bondi is. And Bronte, Clovelly, Coogee, Paddo. Neutral Bay, Mosman and Manly even.
