I didn't see the miracle vote or I would have gone for that, because I believe that on our day we can beat anyone. Usually I'm a realist, but when it comes to the mighty Swans, well...............

Singapore Chilli crabs in the city is tops. Yummy!
Better bring a fistful of dollars and head towards the joint.
I am sure some of the over-flowing-cash-in-the-pockets coaches and players have great feasts there before with red sauce crabs-licking 10 fingers and beer.

All I ask is that they leave the crab there when they leave the joint.

No more/less crabbing on the field when the game needs to be won against a team bent on using modern fast mob attack technique.

Who are the worst crabbers at the Swans? LRT and Ted are possible contenders. Is it because there is often not a player running past the ball winner, the mark taker or the free kick winner?
When they eventually get it to the HFF, the next kick is often deeper into the pocket, I never get that.

I am hoping for a game like the PF 2003 against Port. No-one thought we would be a hope in hell. "What is Going On!" I seem remember being the call......stilllll........

Agree with your spot on observation and hardly pointed out in RWO.
HFF, followed by deep into the side pocket pussy football.

Surely, the % of getting adrenalin-injection with split-in-the-middle kick + wide grin + fists pumping in the air, drops dramatically at the run-in from the fence kicking. It is more luck from there & wasted chances. And you probably hear all the unmentionable abuses from the their fence/ground die-hards too.

We should be bold enough more often to go for the jugular, goal post square ride-on markings or inches from it, super crumbing. We need it this week more than ever.

I found myself, last weekend in the stands, making waving "that direction! over there! our posts are that direction!" gestures as players kept kicking the ball backwards during what seemed (to me) not-that-pressured moments. Once or twice, just a metre or two from Richmond's goal posts.

I'm sure there's a strategic reason, some smart tactic, and not knowing it is why I'm neither on the field nor in the coaching box (nor comment often here) .... but ....

John Coleman died some years ago and Captain Cucumber is meter maiding up on the Gold Coast. Just who do you reckon is going to be pulling down these Hail Mary's? Our two key forwards are not high flying pack marks. In addition Scarlett and Co have made lucrative careers from bomb and hope forward opposition entries. We have to be very, very good with hitting leading forwards on Saturday. Otherwise expect to see rebounding attacks out of our forward fifty. Boys Own football won't beat the best drilled defense in the comp.

Hate to tell people this, but it looks like its going to be a wet day on Saturday down at Sleepy Hollow(thats Geelong for our Sydney friends who are unfamiliar with the term). We all know how well we play in the wet(not) and Geelong are bloody fantastic in the wet.

this email from the club should give us all confidence.

                                Fast footy facts:
The last time these two teams met Cats midfielder Gary Ablett played one of his best games of the year collecting 32 disposals and one goal.

In the week leading up to the game against Geelong, the Swans signed Canadian Mike Pyke on a two-year international rookie deal.

Nic Fosdike played his first game of the 2008 season against Geelong in their Round 20 clash.

The Swans have not beaten Geelong at Skilled Stadium since round eight, 1999.

The Swans have not beaten Geelong in the 2:10pm timeslot since round three, 1998.

Geelong is currently on a four-game winning streak against the Swans.

Since the Swans moved to Sydney in 1982 they have never won more than three consecutive games against the Cats.

When the Swans won the 2005 grand final, they defeated Geelong in the semi-final by three points.

The Swans? second lowest score in a game is eight points which was against Geelong in 1898.

The Swans and Geelong have never drawn in their 204-game history.
