Nah seriously I have nfi. Our coaching staff could be thinking totally left field so I won't bother predicting. I'd love Pavlich but don't want to let go of a player like Goodes, ROK, McVeigh or the kids to make it happen.

We've done alright to make 6 straight finals and 3 prelim finals with the 1 flag. Gotta expect probably 2 years of 10-14 finishes...

I wasn't questioning the worth of a trade, but the fact that we have been able to convert injury prone/long term injured players into good players? Who are they?

Can see Jolly being an excellent FF can do the ruckwork in the F50.
Not a bad forward line, but Jolly not agile enough. He is a star ruckman and thats where we need him.

With luck, we need to trade for a key forward, if not, White maybe our best option.

Yep I like the Jolly option and could rotate with Currie. Would add Johnston, Thornton, Laidlaw in that mix.

Yep we've definitely timed it well with the upcoming drafts

He doesn't need to be agile - he's 8 feet tall and takes speccies on the shoulders of other players! Probably the best contested mark in the team - has a vice like grip on the ball and he can kick straight too.

White, standing next to him can be the agile big man.

                  3 targets, 3 crumbers.

AND he is an onfield leader, which is something that was lacking last week, and when MOL goes will become worse. Strong, dominate force. Has a bit of push and shove in him.

Currie and Pyke in the ruck - Orreal backup, Jolly to FF.

Jolly is far to valuable to us in the ruck if you have him forward then currie and pyke would have t do all the ruck work, greately diminishing the midfield advantage we get from him. Like goodes he is most valuable chasing the ball around and drifting or resting forward

                      Disagree.

All those who think White is suited to fill the FF role today, or next year are dreaming. 2-3 years away IMHO. Is learning at AFL level, and is in a position where he is taking the 3rd best defender on opposition teams and doing well.

                      Consider:

                      White vs Scarlett
                      White vs Prestagiacomo (?)
                      White vs Lake
                      White vs Rutten

No doubt he will take this type of guy in the future - it's doubtful in the near future.

I'm not suggesting Jolly not ruck. Indeed he would be invaluable rucking in the forward 50 with the actual ruckman sitting a kick behind play to help keep the ball in.

I think I have more faith in the backup ruckman stocks than you - Currie and Pyke would have to carry the ruck...I see that as a positive, otherwise we may lose one of them through lack of opportunities (see Jolly).

I can see it is possible I may have to eat my words re:White...I hope I will - it will make things much more simple.

And big men like Jolly will burn out carry such a big frame long distances. Knees first, then shoulders. This move would significantly lengthen his career. Same with Goodes - it has always been said he will finish his career up forward.

Bugger having a forward line at all, get some talls in, White Pyke, Orreal, and fill the team with hard running midfielders ala ROK who can rotate thru and kick goals as well, settle the back six, but everyone else rotating thru mid and forward, a ruckman and three more hard running midfielders on the bench. Bit like what the Bulldogs are doing, who is their tall marking forward again??????

                            According to this Roos does, at least to the media, see a forward line similar to the thinking of a few folks;

                            HF ? White ?
                            FF ? Johnston Veszpremi
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

He used to be good at on the run goals but I would shudder whenever he had to take a set shot.
But now he has actually got a good set shot, hasn't he?
