According to reports, Butcher is the only KP player of any note likely to go in the top 10 and even he is marginal unless Melbourne decide to take a punt with pick 2 after taking Scully.
Think we may have to go midfield/utility with our first pick and look for a diamond in the rough later in the draft.
Could see us using a 2nd rounder/player combo for Matt Maguire to sure up our defence as well.

Hutchy just reported on footy show that Luke Hodge and Hawks not on the same page contract wise. Hodge wants 4 years, Hawks only 3.
What are the Hawks thinking?!?!? If he is available, you would spend what it takes in an instant, give him 5 years for heaven's sake - regardless of what position you need to fill.
He is a new age Kell if ever I've seen one. Tough, smart and hard at it all the time.
Given the lack of forward options available for either draft or trade, best to let the forward line evolve with what he have and take the best of whoever might be on offer. If it is Hodge, Swans would be mad not to move heaven and earth to get him.
Agree with others the Hawks are sods to try and deal with, but with an uncontracted player, their hand is considerably weakened.Last edited by SwansFan1972; 9 July 2009, 11:34 PM.Comment

Our second rounder for Ryan Gamble seems a fair trade. Although we have been burnt by Geelong (our doing mind you) before i would probably do that.
EDIT:: just thinking about it if our season goes down the @@@@ter, our second rounder may be too high for Gamble. I'd say if we get a pick 25-30 would be fair for him.Last edited by Jeffers1984; 10 July 2009, 11:28 AM.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.
