Wouldn't have thought so. Gardiner had plenty of issues but his playing ability was proven.

Nah, Gardiner was awesome before he had off-field troubles.

I hear from a very good source that Mark Blake wants out of the cattery and the swans have spoken to his manager.
Would be very good 2nd ruckman and forward option.

I wonder if Nathan Djerrkura wants to leave as well? Mind you after Selwood comes to us and Ablett to the Gold COast the Cats will probably need all the quality midfielders they can grab

What? Gardiner was always a gun, I was hoping we'd take him. Imagine Jolly and Gardiner in the same team? Scary!

He'll be leaving the Cats bu I hope we dont get him

Good tap ruckman but offers nothing around the ground and definitely not capable of playing forward

I think he would be a great pickup Will. He has a lot more to offer than Chambers. Would be a great 2nd ruckman behind DJ and will improve in the next 2-3 years.

So long as we don't give up our #7 pick for some hack nudging 30 yrs when there are plenty of good youngsters available
Scully, Butcher, Lucas, Panos, Weller, Gryberts, Morabito, Trengove to name a few I've heard of.

Would you do a straight trade Currie for either of them?

I wouldn't. The other two are complete and utter duds. Currie might be too but we don't know that yet!

Based on the current squad, trading for a ruckman like Blake is highly unlikely, in fact won't happen.

A mid 20's quick outside midfielder or KP defender are what we would look to draft and with us not really willing to give a first or second rounder this year it is highly unlikely.

Therefore it will be via the draft and from within the current list this year come draft and trade time.

Next year however with the compromised draft look to clubs 10 to 16 to off load some value in search of the remaining early picks in the draft.
