He was a little tired chasing there at one stage on the wing but that is simply a fitness base thing. A proper pre-season and settled training regime willl sort him out. He is certainly not slow.

Even all the Geelong players were stuffed in the last Q.

That said it might be time to give him a rest depending on his study commitments.

Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

Hmm lets not get too carried away and apply unwanted pressure to these boys - give them a few years to develope as men and as players. Then we can look into the crystal ball and hope like hell that our hopes wishes for them come true!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Smith is definitely going to be a captain.
I watch him in the huddles and he is totally in the moment eyes glued to Kirky. He never gives up either which I really like. Even when his opponent appears to have him beaten he keeps at it and a couple of times, just thru the continued pressure, caused a turnover. He's also a talker, offers his encouragement to the other backs and even took Baz aside in full red phase IIRC in the Crows game. Lots to like about him.
This is a good prediction, and perhaps it is not as Bold as some would think.
I love the kid and believe in him completely. No flies on him, and little personal ego, except to be wonderfully excited about his first goal. He is already Sports Captain for his school, so has a start.

I have long kept an eye on Nick Smiff. He goes about his business like a grown up (better than some other actual grown ups I have to say). He has a great level of concentration, and that in my eyes is the key. In this game concentration is everything.

And, I have to admit, I agree with Liz. If we can get Mal back on track on every level, he would make a great leader. He has already headed the Ressies to victory and he has great work ethos, and I like his personality. It may be a bold one, but why not.. I hope they have the good sense to keep him; if he wants to go elsewhere to break his hoodoo I can understand; not like but understand.

McVeigh, I don't know. Will not be surprised though. And I don't know everything.....

Now Bulldog would surprise some of you. But he is my Bold Prediction. He speaks well and you find yourself listening to him. Has a relatively quiet personality. Knows what he is talking about. Is very direct and honest. A very hard worker. I like him.

I agree. He looks great whenever he gets his hands on the ball. And when his fitness improves over the pre season, I reckon he'll be the player to watch in 2010. Reminds me a lot of a junior O'Keefe.

Hanners is great! But what has happened to his kicking. Last year and early this year he was a brilliant kick. Recently he has struggled to get distance and his accuracy has been off. When he gets that raking left foot working properly you have to think that he will influence the result of many games. Wouldn't it be sensational if all the good one remained healthy for a couple of years.

No doubt that Hanners is fantastic and is going to get even better, but the one to really look out for is Jack. You watch this boy in the next season or two. He will be the next Gary Ablett. I really think playing on him(tagging Ablett) has reallt tought him a thing or two.

The likes of Ablett, Judd etc are great at teaching young fellas like Jack how to get to the ball. The temporary humiliations they hand out to yopungsters are actually lessons, and the good ones learn heaps. Jack is one!
There will be quita a few lads who will thank Kirky for lessons in how to get their own ball (at least, down the track), as a further example.

Totally agree on Jack also. His last few games have been absolutely brilliant.

Against the Dogs he is our top possession Swan with 27 . Another very solid game from an outstanding player.

That's a few weeks now that Dan has had a tough post match interview. The passion in this kid is just amazing. I can tell you now I'm very proud to have a kid like this in our team. Future Captain i'm sure and it's such a pleasure to watch him growing up in our Club. Well done Dan - keep going hard mate!

When he got hit by Hurley the other night the cracking sound it made was sickening, I thought he was well and truly gone. Was great to see him get up and come back soon after.

This bloke made me proud to be a Swans fan the other night.

If he isn't captain some day I'll be shocked.
