I'd say it's the worst year to be trading picks away.

Pick 90 might also be the next Kyle Archibald. Who? Exactly. Jake King has shown he can crack a game at senior level. His disposal is unfairly maligned. He's got mongrel, he's committed. He's the sort of player I'd love at the Swans. He won't be a superstar, but you can't expect every player to be. It's almost as important, if not more so, to make sure you've got a decent group of lower-middle range players.

Particuarly 1st/2nd round picks as the draft is fairly shallow- I'd still give them up for Delidio (not that I think he's really going to be available).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Since any draft is pretty much a lottery past pick ten to fifteen what does a shallow draft really mean - you cant have confidence past pick eight ?? I would have thought that if everyone considers that the draft is shallow then even more reason to give up second round picks as the feeling must be that the draft has no depth anyway so why worry about giving up pick twenty something.

It's not a lottery past pick 10-15. Usually after the third round it starts to level out, while dropping off considerably right at the end (there was an analysis of average games played from players taken in each round posted on some forum somewhere that suggested that). This draft apparently starts to level out after the second round (good top 30, not much after).

Lose this week and you guys will get pick 6 instead of pick 7.

But I think your team needs a forward/potential midfielder whos played a few games, has the experience and comes from NSW.

                What about Staker??? Please?? :P

I thought you were talking about Josh Wooden for a moment. The man who beat Ben Cousins for best first year player at the Eagles.

If all this is the case, why would Richmond wish to trade or delist him? Sounds like just what THEY need. I am not suggesting he is a total spud, but given the state of list and Gold Coasters holding all the aces in 2010, I think there are other priorities right now than such an average player.

Whoever got Goodsey at (what was it) I think 64 should have the final say. Then again, at more or less the same time, the same blokes did not want Kirky.

Not quite. Lions can win by under 3 points and Sydney will still be on top of West Coast. But yes, for all intents and purposes.

The only thing I like about Staker was the 50 metre penalty he gave away in 2005, which prompted my father to quote Siegfried from Get Smart: "We don't do that Staker!"

New coach, new era, etc. I'm not saying he WILL be delisted, just that he's a reasonable chance.

I'd have thought King is exactly the kind of player Hardwick will want to hold on to, at least short term. He does have deficiencies but he puts his head over the ball and runs himself ragged.

Just a thought as I sit watching Port Melbourne play Williamstown, but what would people think about Dylan Addison?

He cant quite crack a spot in the Bulldogs 22 at the moment, but I thought was playing some good football early in the Season
He is a Sydney boy and only 22
He might allow a Mattner to play further up forward more often
Could be part of a swap for Hall and draft picks if Hall decides he wants to go to the Doggies????

Really? (with upward inflextion of incredulity). They stuffed that up, didn't they.
