Our culture could do with a 90 goal per season footballer.
The bits on Utube re Fev at Charlie were pretty funny.

Our culture has a proven track record of fixing players than have broken "on-field" issues.
Fev's issues are broken off the track. We're not a homeless shelter. Admittedly, Fev isnt a mass murderer or evil, he just loves footy because it's his avenue to other perks and damn good times. He doesnt have the ultimate desire to see others succeed. The selflessness required is significant and he only has about 75% of what is required for team.
I dont hate him, I just dont want him. He's a burden. Rhyce Shaw is enough for me to swallow (crazy types that is). Fev is a wild animal and I like my animals tame and loyal.
The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of Disappointment
He can't do that, he has an existing contract with Carlton. Unless Carlton were to delist him and pay him out his contract, which let's face it won't ever happen despite how unhappy they are with Fev.
They could come to an agreement to teriminate with Fev to allow him to go into the PSD in exchange for Fev taking a token pay out on his contract.
Highly unlikely but depends on how pissed off Carlton are with him.

Would prefer us to stick with blooding White and Johnston and moving Goodes to a permanent forward while playing ROK as a full time on baller next year.
I think on-ball with ROK, McVeigh, J Bolton, Kirk, Bird, Jack, Hannaberry, Merideth, Schmidt plus our number 6 pick will hopefully give us enough rotations to put us around the top 8.

Fev doesn't really strike me as an altruistic type who would be prepared to forgo his entitlement for a token amount
Agree, but it is only for him to go into the PSD and go somewhere else to earn $600,000 plus so he is hardly going to be missing out.
Point is, if Carlton are really cheesed off they could still get him out of the club without having to wear the $1.4 million or so in this years salary cap as long as both parties were willing to work on a deal.
But it's highly unlikely the Blues are that cheesed off to walk away without some compensation.

If we add Fevola you can bet your bottom dollar that Johnstone will get pissed off and go home to Adelaide. He isn't going to wait 3 years for a game.
They play different positions.

Must admit I Know nothing about him but a tall midfielder could fit the bill
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

No they are completely screwed. Even if traded his contract is under their salary cap
This is why Richmond traded the unmentionable one to Sydney. Carlton may even have to pay the cash difference between his current and new contract
It makes it very hard for them to trade for players
It's tragic really

Fevola, White and Johnstone can't play in the same forward line. Don't forget Currie looks like being put up forward aswell.
Fevola's a genuine full forward and Johnston is a centre half forward. That's the point I was making.
Next season we'll have Goodes, White and Johnson in the same forward line so three talls can be done.

Roos is playing it like a good poker player - would he come out and say yep, we want him, pick us pick us! Everything he is quoted as saying seems very non-commital and open ended to me.
"Highly unlikely" to be interested in Brendan leaves the door open just enough - and then Roos follows up with:
"We haven?t really gotten to that stage to be talking about it, to be honest. We don?t even know what Carlton?s going to want in exchange,? he said.
?Our pick six, we want to keep? so we don?t want to waste Carlton?s time and even get to the level of discussing Brendan if we?re not prepared to give up a first-round draft pick.?
None of that is a definite no - just a clear message to the Blues. Other than a first round pick, come talk to us. If there wasn't some chance of Fev being picked up, Roos wouldn't need to know what Carlton wanted.
Just 12 short months ago Fev was on the want list - with Micky O still on board and before the Hall divorce. Not enough has happened since with him to really change what he represents, so Roos would be remiss, almost negligent, to not be contemplating getting Fev up here now.
