While losing Jolly isn't great for next year, I get the impression from Roos' comments that the club is quite happy with the prospect of two top 10 picks in this draft. Very interesting trade week coming up.

Saw on the other forum that supposedly channel 7 have mentioned the following 3 way trade:
West Coast
Gain: Dalziell, Pick 22
Lose: Staker, Seaby
Sydney
Gain: Seaby, Pick 28
Lose: Buchanan, Pick 22
Brisbane
Gain: Staker, Buchanan
Lose: Dalziell, Pick 28
Higher than what I would value Seaby at but roughly fair for all parties.Comment

Wtf? That trade stinks, we basically swap Buchanan for Seaby and give a high 2nd rounder to West Coast.Comment

More definite Article with Roos' quotes
Roos said the Swans would do what they could to try to accommodate Jolly's request to move south, but he said the club expected to be adequately compensated.
"What we've said to his management is he came at pick 15 and is a significantly better player than when he arrived and he understands that," Roos said."Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Seaby a Swan
Buchanan a Lion?
3 way trade deal involving Staker and Dalziel
The Swans will be major players in trade week - having all but secured West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby in a complicated three-way trade involving Amon Buchanan - who will go to Brisbane, and another Eagle Brent Staker, who will also join the Lions.
Lion Bradd Dalziell will join the Eagles, while Brisbane will send a draft pick that will end up with the Eagles in the exchange.
Also from the article
Sydney also is well advanced in discussions over Hawk Josh Kennedy, with the Swans hoping to pick up the member of the scion of Hawthorn's first family - his father John Kennedy jnr and grandfather ex-coach John snr shared in seven premierships at the club - via a draft pick.

Jolly pretty much looks a goner too. However his agent reckons we will 'just' accept pick 14

We're paying a Monty for Seaby. Fair enough - I personally rate Buchanan but he hasn't shown much of it recently. Maybe Voss can get something out of him.
