Word out today that Hawthorn might be looking to trade Mark Williams. I'd happily see him in red and white.

As would I but not sure he's the type Roos would like. Very much in the Nick Davis mould - super talented, quality finisher but probably doesn't work hard enough.

There is a reason they are trading him!

And Plugger46 has hit the nail on the head.

possibly a schneider/dempster trade going our way?

Wojack and Mumford for 28 or 38? Wojack taken as a deal to relieve salary cap pressure.

As long as we keep 6 and 14 that will be the main thing.

I have a sneaking suspicion 14 will be on-traded to Geelong. I can't see anything else we have to give them for Mumford.

I would have liked Michael Rischitelli.

Has the Jolly trade gone through. If Hawthorn gibe up on Burgoyne Jolly and whatever for Kennedy and #9 sounds palatable

I thought I heard last night that Wojinski was going to the Roos.

Geelong were looking for a third round pick (probably highest second) for Mumford, so I don't see them giving away 14 for him. Now if they bring Wojack into the mix then the 14 might come into contention.

He's probably a sweetener to get the Burgoyne deal over the line.

Hawks are worst trading club ever - they risk the cake each year being greedy and trying to get the cherry on top. Trying to screw Port over Burgoyne is just plain stupid and the deal should have been amongst the first stitched up this week. Hopefully it will bite them on the bum - Port showed a few years ago with Nick Stevens they will die in the trenches before getting screwed in a deal. And this time around they have other outs (burgoyne is on the radar of a few Melbourne based clubs).

Would serve the ridiciulous Hawks right if they come up empty at the end of the week, especially now their big mouth President is also head of recruitment/list management/trading!

Hawthorn's stuffing around mucks everything up. By the time they figure out Port won't bend over for them, the deal above - which would be great for us - will be academic.

I think no trades are final until processed by the AFL after the Friday deadline passes (but could be wrong, and am happy to be corrected), so it is possible for us to rat on the Pies deal if a better one came along. I can't see our club doing that however - it would be far too damaging to the trading reputation going forward (a reputation that has been built up nicely over the years and is widely acknowledged to be pretty fair and win-win focussed in most cases. Unlike the Hawks, who seem hell bent on ensuring everyone loses)!

It must be the day before trading finishes ... the poos and wees have become "involved".

They do the same thing every year, year after year - try and stuff it up for everyone else.

At least they're not doing it to us for a change.

i dont think we will give them 14 with Woj on the table considering he is 29..
they may push for our 28, but i think if they cant get Woj to another club then 38 is what we should offer..

                                Pick 38 for Mumford.
                                Pick 39 for Wojinski
Pick 28 for Kennedy and McGlyn

Leaving us with 2 first rounders and a couple of late 'pin the tail on the donkey picks'.

But in reality, the Cats will probably want pick 28 for Mumford...and the PoosnWees will shut us out.
