It only took to Round 8 for Goodesy to get into the top 3 ... and only two points behind Mr Shaw. Poor Mr Shaw. Enjoy it while it lasts.

      I should have made bets!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Two 5 point games in a row will do that.

Well, I did think that when my first typo was pointed out.

As I said in the other thread, if anyone wants to have a go at writing a paragraph on a game, or 2, or 3, etc. Just let me know, and I'm happy for YOU to help the writing.

So much for the theory that if we have an even set of contributors then we'll be successful . . . . . 18 players polled votes against the Cats from only 32 voters and we still got pumped.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

... beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder???

Goes to show that everyone sees the game differently.

It also shows that no one or small group of players really shone on a day most of us would rather forget. No question everyone sees it differently though.

Yep, usually when there is no stand out we have a big spread of player selections. I guess coz we are not experts and only see certain things.
That's why I have a comparison BEST from the so-called experts.

                                Rnd 9-10

Round 9 v Port Adelaide, SCG.

BEST: McVeigh, Hall, J Bolton, Kirk, OKeefe, Jolly, Buchanan

Hall kicked the first goal within a minute ,and helped out in 5 of the next 8, yes 8 goals of the first qtr, whilst

Port could only manage a solitary goal. Young gun Jesse White kicked the goal of the qtr, bursting from a centre

clearance and kicking from outside 50 for a goal. The second qtr produced little on the scorebaord, but plenty for

the crowd with some great grabs including Grundy's Mark of the Year contender over his Port opponents.
Whilst the Power managed to curtail the swans first qtr dominance, they were neverable to get into the game.

                                The swans by 55.

Goodes, Hall, Kirk, Jolly, McVeigh and White all kicked 2 goals.

                                5-4-0

                                Round 10 v Bulldogs @ Manuka.

BEST: Goodes, O?Keefe, Hall, C Bolton, Kirk

The swans jumped out to an early lead 2 goal lead, but the Dogs broke free kicking the next 13 goals, to lead by 69

points at half time. The swans simply had no answers to the hard running dogs. The swans won the next half with 10

goals to 5, but were never in the hunt.

Hall finised with 6 goals, and Goodes 2.

Goodes, O'Keefe, Criag Bolton and Kirk were amongst the best for the swans.

                                5-5-0.
