How thick is this book. I have a wonky table in the lounge room that could use some assistance.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Pretty light read in all honesty.

Didn't find out much I didn't already know from a football sense, especially since most of the Roosy/Staker stuff had been leaked in extracts leading up to the launch.

I'd give it a 6/10. Not enthralling, but not boring by any means.

After reading the book i have lost all respect for barry. All he wants to do is blame the football club , roosy and anyone else for his poor behaviour .in my opinion he will always be a thug!

There were a lot of excuses in the book.

Everything he was involved with, especially the whole Sydney thing, he took full responsibility for in the first paragraph, but the 2nd paragraph always started with 'But'.

I like Barry, so to me it was sort of disappointing, but for somebody who elected to take the line of not liking him, the book gives them a truckload of ammo...

I liked Barry too , I even stood and cheered him at his last two games at the scg but I think he showed who he really is with all the BUTS.I really don't think he has taken responibility for his actions.

I think that makes Hawthorns activity even more curious that year - why didn't they package Barry and Jolly up rather than chase Burgoyne?

Agree, as sharp as a farriers rasp.

I've decided not to read it, mate of mine read it a few weeks ago and went from being an unapologetic Baz lover to feeling disappointed in him. I'd rather just enjoy the good memories and hope Baz one day realises no matter how messy or not the last week or so at the club was, it all could have been avoided if he had simply done the right thing. His hit on Staker was a disgrace and anything on top of that was going to cause issues.

Cheers BBB, may go to the bottom of the pile for Chrissie time "brain-switched-off" reading. Mind you, pretty certain I read Plugger's book in a day.
