Ah, yes, forgot McGlynn. Did some nice stuff, kicked a goal or two I think. Didn't dominate by any stretch, but looked fairly good. Didn't see that much of him though, probably because he was so small!
And Bevan, who I also forgot, looked good up forward. Did some nice stuff, no major blunders stand out. I tell you what, it will be a hard, hard best 22 to pick. After the top 10, it all bunches up quite quickly. The only players I'd say are really out of contention for Round 1 (excluding injured players) are Gary Rohan, Sam Reid, Campbell Heath, Lewis Johnston (he may make a push after a few weeks though) and the rookies.
By the way, does anybody know who number 3 for the Reds was? Honestly, unless he was within 10 metres of you, he looked like a kid out there. He would be lucky to crack 160 cm, and was skinny as all hell. I felt scared for him!

Don't think it was McNeil. There were around 8 "top-ups" out there. Some were probably scholarship players (the older ones but still very much kids compared to the senior players). There also looked to be a couple of pretty well built unknowns who were far too physically developed to be 16 or 17 year olds.
McNeil while small isn't that small. I saw Sam Crichton out there and I've been told another Sydney uni player was outthere too. Onewas a dead
ringer for Simon Phillips except he was left footed, and two others were red haired a la Rohan

Agree, don't think it was McNeil. His hair was almost black, and looked too small even to be McNeil. Easily the shortest bloke on the field. Could be a scholarship player though.

It may not have been Mcneil..someone asked swans ppl near me and they said it was him, but i suspect they were having as much difficulty as some of us..Number variations and team swapping made it hard, and the toppies of course.
But i bet theyre have never been as many redheads onfield as this morning..and Rohan sneaked a couple of goals ...looks the goods with a few more kgs.
