There's a picture of Bevo looking a little confused, I wonder how long that took the photographer to capture?

Well we didn't have to go through the pictures to know that!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Somewhere between then and now Vez has grown into a bloke instead of a kid. Looking goooood.

It was either do a bit of ironing to stay sweet at home or drop down to training this arvo!. So..a few training observations. Bad bits first..McVeigh appeared to do something nasty to his ankle in a non contact drill..limped off the ground to the rooms , with a pretty grim face, but no further info.
Then towards the end of the session young Jetta drifted off to the rooms after some attention to what appeared to be his calf..he already had one knee lightly strapped.
Lewis Johnston was kicking at goal , but that was about all..Vez did what looked like a 3k paced run, and got heaps of teasing support from the boys as he went by them. He's starting to look as if he's approaching his fighting weight.
In two out drills where one had to take his opponent down, Pike again showed his strength shoving Currie asideseveral times..in the same drill O'Keefe showed his class by refusing to be beaten.
Goodesy showed his skills a few times in a fast end to end exercise that ran for quite a while..Roos had them moving the ball by hand as quickly as possible. honoring voices etc.
C.Bolton looked fit..no sign of the injury from the carlton game and Roos said he wd play at the weekend.
He was also reasonably positive re Bradshaw, saying he had started to run and would keep that up..if everything went right he would play him round 1 even without match practice.
Shaw seemed as if he had never been away..showed his speed a couple of times, and is an obvious leader onfield. Seaby got a few taps , and moves round the gfround well..i didn't notice Mumford..they weren't all in reg jumpers...sorry. Oh, and rohan continues to impress me..he plays taler and stronger than he looks, but still only 18..he's gonna be something!
          Off to do some ironing!
