I thought these blokes were fantastic compared to Spud, Kennedy and Bubba doing the Freo North game. They are stuidly parochial but there was genuine excitement. Who would have thought cricket could leave footy for dead in the excitement stakes.

Fox footy needs to go back to the sheds and pick a new squad.

Roosy's 30 seconds of fame was the commentary highlight for mine. If retirement means he'll do some media work it has an upside.

I hadn't seen coaches do live commentary before - is that just me? Good idea (for the NAB).

They replayed a couple of the Lions GFs (I think 2002 and 2003, might have been 03 and 04) with Leigh Matthews recorded from the coaches box and played as commentary. It was pretty amusing!
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I'll take Walls and Lane before Darcy. God he is treacle sweet. Up everyone's clacker and a genuine fence sitter. On radio he will not say a word against his fellow footballer for fear of being banished from the AFL gravy train.

He has today labelled McEvoy as a better player than Gardiner and King. A Saints caller to SEN said he doesn't know where Darcy is coming from given McEvoy can't buy a hit out. Over rated footballer and over rated commentator for mine.

"lips of lethal" they were called and it was for 02 and 03. i assume malthouse was also recorded but they only went with the winner.

"where's aker? where's aker?!! tell him to get up forward!". thirty seconds later aker seals the win crumbing inside 50. magnificent.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
