Ah... I can always get the sensible response from Satch!

Sheeds had a go at Roos today for trading Hall - link - saying the Swans would "kick themselves", but yeah, I'm glad he's playing well and enjoying his footy again (and hope he gets his head right once and for all), but we made the right call to let him go.

5 in the last qtr. Still a bit of mongrel in him.
Lost his way in qtr 2 and 3, but really got into the game when it counted.

He was fantastic in the last quarter, but I'll leave judgement until the real footy gets under way. But gee can't ask more than 17 goals in 3 pre season games. Funny what a change of scenery can do- we will know whether it really is more like the barry of old or the more recent Swans version when some upstart defender really gets into him in the regular season.

It's all in the Wiki = Draft History - RWOwiki

We got pick 47, then eventually used it to help get Mcglynn and Kennedy.

According to the Football Bible - AFL Record Season Guide 2010, it states: Barry Hall traded by Sydney for draft selection 47 (Ryan Harwood). He is playing for Brisbane.

So we then go off to Brisbane list...........................

It says Ryan Harwood, - draft choice 47 traded for draft selection 39 (Sam Grimley). He is playing for Hawthorn.

So then we go off to Hawthorn list...........................

It says Sam Grimley, - draft choice 39 traded by Sydney for Josh P. Kennedy.

                        So Kennedy for Hall.

Now please leave your money on the beer fridge.

In effect, we traded Hall for the same reason that St Kilda traded him to us. He started in 2002 and it was about a year before he was first suspended for eye gouging against Port.

Trivia: Most matches by current players never reported:

                        D. Bradshaw - 222
                        C. Bolton - 194
                        R. O'Keefe - 186.

Barry Hall has had 15 charges, 9 times guilty and suspended for 26 games. He is the leading current player for suspended games.

Zebra's don't change their stripes but they dance a good cha cha in a tutu.

Good performance tonight by Biffo Barry. Should have a good season and will help Bulldogs feature in the finals. Sadly for them they will lose to us.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I dont care how well Hall has played in the pre season comp. I'm just glad he's not gonna play for us this season.

Well played, but the guy leaves a trail of collateral damage wherever he goes. Poor Mitch Hahn is out for a month.

Pretty hard to blame Barry for that. Both had eyes on the ball and Hahn was running straight into the path of a leading forward.
