Fully agree. Thought his first half was excellent when things were tight.

Didn't see Mitchell do much against the Saints.

If he really wanted to stay he'd be making more of an effort - looks like Lewis Jetta towards the end of 2015

I do rate Biggs, but we've got him covered anyway.

Haven't had a chance to watch it that closely, but wasn't he tagging Jack Steven. If so he did a bloody good job.

Yes Mitchell played his role pretty well the other night.

In the eyes of a lot of our supporters he doesn't seem to be able to do anything right now that there's talk of him going. In my opinion he's still been very good this season.

Hard to know what Carlton would do, but I think it would be a good deal from their perspective. They will most likely take small forward Ben Ainsworth with pick 4 with a chance to take KPF Todd Marshall. I think both are fine prospects. But I believe it's a better proposition to get a proven young contested ball winning midfielder and a medium speedy forward. Carlton need lots of players. They will probably let go of at least 10 this year. So 2 walk up starters and a long shot in Hiscox sounds better than 1 good prospect, neither of whom may be better than Mitchell.

I generally like what Towers has done since he's come back into the side, but would drop him this week and bring in Laidler. I don't trust Towers in the high pressure of a finals series. And he just can't nail an open field tackle.

There is no way in gods green earth we would do a change after a 70 points win unless injury or suspension (or Tippet) coming back.
Towers is part of our premiership plans, like it or not.

I shouldn't matter what happened the previous week. We should be looking to put the best side on the ground for the next game, as well as planning for the finals. I think we would structure up better against NM and other finals sides with tall forward lines, including Adelaide, Geelong and GWS with Laidler in the side. I'd prefer a quicker player than Laidler if we play Hawthorn. With Tippo coming back and likely to play mostly as a forward as well as having both Buddy and XR as mobile forwards, Towers is likely to get fewer opportunities to make a contribution. When Buddy's presenting as a midfield option, no one is going to Towers.

I thought the plan was that in any game where the opposition is within three goals Towers comes off for the last five minutes. Even if it means we play seventeen guys. We can't go there again.

I'll assume you are taking the piss a bit here.
Why would a team ever consider that? Not just playing with 17, but dragging a player in the last 5 mins?
Either he is taught how to act under that kind of pressure, and picks up more footy smarts, or you trade him.
Can have a player playing under that kind of stigma.

Towers can play the last 5 minutes at FF in the goal square and not allowed to leave it.

Its about the only thing that does matter.

KT was hardly trolling. His tongue was so firmly planted in his cheek that I'm surprised you couldn't see it poking out
