Not in the forseeable future. TDL was pretty ordinary this afternoon - seemed to be limping for most of the first half and I wondered whether he should really be out there. Looked very short of a gallop for the whole game.

Not knocking him or writing him off - just that he needs to play footy for a few weeks after a decent length break to find his feet again. There are half a dozen or so knocking much more firmly on the door of senior selection.

      Just one thing.

Move Goodes from the forward and let Bradshaw and White be our big men in the F50. We're wasting Goodes, and White because he's being cancelled out.

Good result and gave some of the newbies some important experience but for my mind we should be happier with the performance in the two previous games. A very ordinary second half, they didn't play on enough which cost us valuable percentage - might hurt come September.

White has to go to the ressies and Rohan or Richards to play against the Shinboners.

Jetta not so good under pressure and shouldn't be guaranteed a spot in the senior side but he will deliver some game winners by seasons end.

Boring game, to be honest. The second half was dreadful. I kept thinking we'll get found out by teams that are far more skilled than Richmond. They were an embarrassing rabble! We should have really buried them.

There was one passage of play that really annoyed me, where the ball was transferred from one side of the SCG to another, instead of going through the middle when it was perfectly possible to do so. What a waste of time.

I wonder if we'll ever see the best of Jetta at the SCG. I think his style of play, based on explosive running, is more suited to the standard-size longer grounds. He looked a bit cramped tonight. His one good run around the boundary did end up in a Goodes goal, but it was the only time he was really able to break free.

LRT didn't have a dirty night at all. That dropped mark was basically the first mistake he made all night. Grundy was actually kind of poor defensively, he let Riewoldt win a few contests I wouldn't have expected, but he won overall, his work on the rebound was fantastic.

Jetta had a night he'd rather forget, I think. Aside from the run down the win to set up Goodes, he couldn't do a thing right all night. 6 clangers tells a story!

As for White, he started off with some spark. Led hard, found some ball, looked energetic, but there was about a 5 minute interval when he was inexplicably ignored 3 times in a row on long leads, after which his head seemed to go down, and he drifted out of the game. He was continually ignored all night. It was rather odd. It wasn't until towards the end that he started getting to some more contests, and even though he didn't pull down any marks, he created some contests and affected the play which was good. Spent some time in defence as well, which I didn't think was a bad move, and he was OK. Not droppable just yet, I think we should all settle down.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

White looked fine when he had a chance to run at the ball and actually be a target, he had a couple of nice classic key forward plays with a pickup and handball off. You have to persist with him, however you have to take a long hard look at the structure of that forward line. I'd like to see White at CHF, Bradshaw at FF with Goodes just roaming- I thought it looked like there was no CHF tonight (I realize that's the SCG to some extent). I can think of maybe 1 dropped mark and 1 ball he over ran all night, apart from that was he a target? He certainly seemed to get himself to space.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We got the job done against a poor opponent. Nothing special about it really. Was a good solid team effort.

One concern is White though. As mentioned earlier, the 3 talls aren't really working well together.

Goodes needs to spend more time in the midfield. I can understand White feeling lost. Theres no room for him to play now Braddys in the square and goodsy roams around half forward

Only the one I saw, other than the goal his opponent kicked on him where he was badly out of position. Kicks were fine, handballs were fine (a couple of very good ones out the back). Was a preposterous mark to drop, though. But that often seems to happen to the bloke right in front of goals on the switch.

The old Silver Fox aka Peter Hatley was back tonight. Even he gave up in the 2nd half. There wasn't much to cheer about in a very ordinary 2nd half.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

                          Aardvark ... spot on.

White can go back to the ressies. He's as useful as tits on a bull. (I think I mentioned that after Round One ... but no one listens to me anyway!!)

Seriously, we should have won by 150. They should have come into this game with the mindset of trying to beat St Kilda ... personally, I felt it was a bit of the "easy beats" attitude.

                          Percentage. Percentage. Percentage.
That's what's going to count at the end of season 2010.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Can you explain what it was that White did wrong tonight, Annie?

It's not White's fault Annie. Playing the 3rd tall isn't easy, especially on a ground like the SCG where there is less space to lead into. Recruiting Bradshaw will end up helping us this year but I knew it would have an impact on White.

What he did wrong was not contribute against a very weak defence. Doesn't matter if its structure or lack of ability he did nothing
