Funny I listened to the SEN radio broadcast and watched. They had LRT as just about BOG, Wayne Brittain, rightly pointed out Wretchmond had more inside 50s and LRT repulsed everything, that said I thought after the dropped mark that would be the entire focus

On Jesse, unsighted on TV, unseen, I figured he must be playing decoy or something. It's not a worry, but I hope he has a day out. Umpires were loath to pay frees to us, there was an obvious one in the second quarter

Incredible 1st Qtr. My voice was shot by qtr time. Maintained in the 2nd Qtr. Very lacklustre and scrappy 2nd Half.
A few comments on player performances
      1) White should definitely go back to the ressies. he did nothing of note all night.
      2) Lewis Jetta - Could be a superstar. Great speed but falls down on some of the basic skills (e.g. marking). However, great run to set up Goodseys goal.
      3) McGlynn, Bradshaw, Seaby, Kennedy, Mumford - Candidates for "Buy of the year"

In conclusion, Great win, should have really put them away by a lot more but a win's a win nonetheless.
      Red & White forever.

I was thinking the same thing. What I didn't like is that he had a few misses from around the 50 metre arc when he could have spotted up a teammate, but then when someone else (I want to think Malceski?) did exactly the same and McGlynn was the one open inside 50 that was ignored he did a bit of arm flapping and said a few words to his teammate.

That said, he's been on fire- backing up a 5 goal haul with a 30+ disposal game is excellent.

One thing that made me chuckle with lamenting White not getting a heap of the footy was that it's pretty hard for a forward to kick a lot at times when you have a big spread of goal kickers, and particuarly when you have guys pinging away on the run from 50.

I think LRT had a great game, spoilt by that awful dropped mark late in the game. But that said, it was the team mate who kicked it to him in the first place who should really take the blame.

I reckon McGlynn could be worth a lazy $5 bet for the Brownlow. I wonder what his odds are?

I must watch the wrong games, LRT isnt confident when he gets the bal to indecisive and not sure. The second half was deplorable when a 100pt win was in the offering.
We still handball too much on the backline when a kick would be the best bet.

Regardless of whether it was the right option or not, Lewis dropped and uncontested chest mark- I'm not sure that's his teammate's fault!

Got home and watched the recording. The second half play seemed much better on TV than at the ground, albeit still frustrating with all the missed shots on goal. Fast forward helps too.

The forward structure was borked but when you have the likes of McGlynn and Moore who are only fractionally taller than the turf taking uncontested marks inside 50 its no wonder the 3 talls didn't get much ball.

Thought Mumford was great but needs to work on his torp.

Unlucky, it happens but it should come around.

I'd rather Rohan as the third tall at the moment.
I have observed over the last three games that White baulks at tackling., am I right or what . seems to have lost all confidence , stands back like "torture" chambers used to do

He doesn't look confident, but he almost always makes the right decisions. As much as any other key defender in the competition, at least. He's also not in the team for his skills with the ball. LRT could get donuts every game, but if he keeps the opposition's gorilla silent, which he usually does, then he's doing his job.

A very disappointing second half after what we served up in the first half. Richmond did lift after the break but we should have gone on with it rather than dropping to their level. We've brought a stack of new players into the team though and it seems that giving them time to settle in to playing together rather than making unforced changes would be the way to go.

Anyway, my highlight of the night was me holding up that handsome young lad who won the half time Citibank prize. He's already spent the money in his mind and left nothing for his Dad though!

LRT had at least 3 clangers that I recall that led to goals.
And he was too easily outmarked by Simmonds in the 3rd term(I think)
