The weather was very, very strange today.

Anyway - good game to be at. No heart worries.

Kicking was poor, at goal. Field kicking was wonderful. Bradders should have had three more. LRT was outstanding. I hate VB. Macca BOG WTF? Excellent observance of the minutes silence by the crowd. Umpires were poor. NicNat needs to get a haircut, lousy hippy.

However, what is with the express bar lane at the bottom of the Nobel for 'Macquaire Bank Credit Card' holders? @@@@@@@ You.

Good win, we seem to do what we need to then put on the after burners and put teams away, whereas in previous years you always had the feeling that the other teams were not out of the conquest or if our backs were to the wall we would come out over the top.
I think though we need to be up and ready from the 1st bounce next week, otherwise the brown and fev show will get on top early....
I do think our midfield might be a bit better than the lions and they'll need to get on top early....

Has always been a bit overrated if you ask me.

Overall it was a very solid win. But the Eagles are a shocking side with probably the worst young talent in the comp as I mentioned in another thread yesterday.

The next month will give us a true indication of how good we are.

I think LRT deserved BOG, he just repelled anything that wasn't nailed down.
Does he ever get rotated for a drink and a good lie down, not that I noticed. Everyone else bobs on and off all day.
Weagles would have been up for this game but they never threatened due to the dominance of our backline and our excellent spread of goal kickers.
The kids love the SCG, kick to kick.
Special moment when ROK gave a 6 year old girl a footy at the end. She must have jumped up and down for another 10 mins!!
ROK wandered off quite oblivious to her delerium.

Hall was influential last night, but have to agree, Braddles for mine, his timing is fantastic.

What an awful, awful, awful day it was to be playing football. Everyone who came to the bench looked like they were about to die.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

smh.com.au have their match review up, complete with a nice picture of Barry Hall in his Bulldogs finery.

There were times, watching the game last night, that I missed Hall. He looks very fit and looks to be enjoying his football. But we hadn't seen that version of Hall since 2006 so the move is really a win for everyone. I still feel a bit sad that it ended the way it did but I don't think our team has lost anything for it.

Braddles kicks more goals and doesn't give away stupid frees

Great day for footy in the Capital. Why would anyone want to live in Sydney?
