Certainly did. The whole back line played well, even when CBolts left the ground.

I agree that LRT was excellent .I think the whole backline deserves more credits for the work they have done so far this season.
People are very critical of the backs when they get beaten ,but rarely get praise when they do a great job as they are doing this year .

Not surprised to hear that. Thought he was way below his standards against North. I hope they give his injury proper time to heal, he's too important to rush back.

We've got pretty good depth now, esp. for defenders. And I'd love to see if Reg is ready to graduate by closing Jon Brown out of a game.

            kicking

Without a doubt ,the best display of foot passing I have seen from the Swans! I have not been a fan of Moore but I gotta take it all back.I thought, along with the commentator, that his pass to Bradshaw was the best kick I have seen all year. He seriously twisted his body to put the ball on Bradshaw's side of the contest with his man, weighted it to fall 5 metres from where Bradshaw was running to and kicked it hard and fast enough that literally no one else but Bradshaw could have marked it.All on the run in a contested space from 40 metres! Sheer brilliance to all who have ever tried to do that with an AFL ball!
The second brilliant kick was Mc Veigh who halfway through the kick purposely used the outside of his boot to spray the ball to Bradshaw's advantage. Almost impossible to execute this when already committed to the kick but he did it and meant to do it! The point is no back man in the world can stop this kind of kick.

Unwarranted criticism of LRT needs to be banished to the same place as criticism of McVeigh. Both are well and truly FORMER RWO whipping boys. Both are now essential and valuable members of our team. We were wrong and the coaching staff were right.

Just back from The mountains left straight from the SCG ... LRT was awesome his spoiling and positioning where fantastic, I had him as my BOG over the 4 Qtrs. Goodes had to be up there, he had a hand in at least 5 of our goals.

                      Cheers

Big wraps on Reg, very big wraps on LRT. Not sure why Macca got BOG.....Anyone?
                        Jacko is a quick thinker.
Jesse is not. Looks to be very self conscious about not making a mistake......he will improve because there is natural talent there, he doesn't give away much in the way of frees (not that I noted anyway), in fact our careless frees look to be way down this year, wonder why? and he will improve his timing......
Don't you just love the way the boys "look after" Kirky? Affectionate grandpa like.
                        B raddles is a keeper.
Smiffy got on with his job. He is remarkably unphased when he play, really cool under pressure. Will never be a Big Name, more of a Jude Bolton type who one day people will say, "he's always been good"...
Jude Bolton's goals are not frequent, but they are invariably unexpected and quite sparkly....some of my favourites.
Never thought I would automatically mark down a goal with Marty lining up for one. He did a hell of a job this week, imo.
The thing I noted most about Jude today, easier at the game, than on TV, was the amount of times he popped up in the right place at the right time.
Tackles, punches, marks, goals. Got the Job done, without the flair.

Being the first time I've been to a game in Sydney for a long time, it was nice to have a parochial crowd.

Jetta gets the crowd going whenever he goes near the ball, down here and up there. When that boy finds his feet, which I feel is getting close, he is going to be BIGGER than Plugger in Sydney.
I think you're right about Jesse, maybe he's trying too hard to keep his spot. He's just not 100% sure of himself.

Grundy is a slow starter, like last week, took a while to get into the game, then took it by the scruff of the neck.
Mal is almost back to his best, lots of body work on his opponents to put himself in the best spot to get at the ball.
Shaw seems to be getting back to where he finished off last year.
LRT was very good, still gets flustered at times under pressure.
Smith wore his opponent like a glove without conceding a free. He offers so much to this team without being a star.

Goodes must be in the middle of the ground. he is just so dangerous and damaging, crashing through packs, coming up with the ball.
Trys too much at times, but he knows he can get away with it. Broke that eagles tackles that he couldn't do last week.
Hanners had a very quiet game I thought.

ROK and McV work tirelessly, not sure if I would've given him BOG either Primmy, but it wasn't just for BOG, there were other attributes that they looked for.
Kirk kept Priddis to an ineffective ton of possesions.

Bradshaw looks like he has always been part of the team, and it looks like they are working hard at getting him one out with his opponents, as he had plenty of room to work in most times.
Jesse moves up the ground to get touches, leaving Bradles free.

Our two rucks and there work cut out for them, but definitely beat them around the ground. Cox worked tirelessly, NicNat was pretty ineffective.
Mumford, just keeps toiking away, chasing lose balls, even on hands and knees. I like his work ethis.

                        A very even performance.

                        Glad I made the trip.

And nice to meet thise I met on the day.
And for those I didn't meet, see you in 5 weeks, or next time I come up, I'll make more time for meet and greets.

I forgot to mention him, again not a flashy player but his work led to a few goals. a very strong body, and he throws it around at times.
                          Love his work.
Also seems to like hitting Bradshaw on the chest over the last couple of weeks.

Our half back line was brilliant all day. Grundy is a star. LRT was rock solid. Bradshaw is a joy to see in our forward line. He can mark the ball, doesnt give away stupid frees or chuck frequent tantrums. Barry who?

Thought Jesse Whites last Qtr was very good and is exactly what is required from him.

Bulldog is playing inspired footy at the moment and deserves his spot.

Some of Kennedys work in close was terrific to watch and he answered his RWO critics today.

Jetta was great today and his field kicking was sublime.

For mine though the 3 best players on the park were Grundy, LRT and Bradshaw( how good is this bloke).

Yep. The first half of the 2005 GF was ridiculous. LRT looked lost and yet the ball kept finding its way to him. I have never rated that half of football by him.

Agree with both of those, in particular the first one. My reaction when I saw Moore do that was just "how on earth did he do that?". He's a bloody clever player. Doesn't need big touches to have a big influence.
