No mention here of Nick Smith. When he went onto Le Cras he didn't give him a sniff. SEN callers talked highly of his effort and ability to play close and run off. If Craig Bolton doesn't come up then Smith seamlessly slots into his spot.

The mail on Bolton is that he has been carrying a bit of a heel/achilles problem for a couple of weeks. Roos said that he may still come up for next week.

Braddles had a rough start with a few behinds, but came good. I kind of said in my mind "kick 6, and I'll be able to let go of Hall" ... so good show, Bradshaw. Perhaps I have a new footy b.f. LRT had a good game too, to be sure. Jetta, fantastic as always ... just get a goal already!

What a great arvo sitting down at the local watching us SMASH those @@@@@! Well done swans, keep it going. Bradshaw at peak form now, if we can get at least 2 wins from the next 4 games top 4 is a very real possibility.

Thought Grundy and LRT were mostly superb.

I wonder if Betfair.com or whatever are taking bets when Jetta will kick his first goal for the swans.

Glad the rain gods held out too.

              Post of the year!

I agree with you (and others) about Hall. I guess it was a win-win move for both clubs.

Bradshaw was great (and doesn't give away as many free kicks as Hall used to) though Glass is not what he once was. B2 has lost a bit of pace too but I'm confident that Reg and LRT can take the opposition's two best forwards now and will generally do well. I had Grundy as my BOG today - he foiled numerous Eagles forward moves, fantastic closing speed in marking contests. B2 will always be a champ though! At least now we have the key defenders he won't have to play against opponents bigger than him every week as he nears the end of his career.

BOLTON NEWS: He was LIMPING outside the Swans Office on his way to the car after the game!! I told him that limping will NOT be tolerated. He said he'll be right for next week!! Here's hoping.
How cool is it to SMASH those Weagle Criminal Budiges by 50-odd instead of 5!!

NicNat = useless against a quality side like us (although I'd love it if he played for us).

Saw the ressies play ... close game until final quarter.

Spida hosts the aftermatch function. Top job!!

All in all - a tops day at the footy.

Saw Jets after the game as well. He's not worried about not kicking a goal. He said that his job is elsewhere on the ground.

                  Legend in the making.

Is there are more improved footballer in the AFL than Grundy? A brilliant effort today.

Stella ... I can't tell you how weird it is to go to Anzac Day footy in shorts, t-shirt and thongs!!
I should be wearing at least two layers by now!!

It's as muggy as tonight in Sydney. It's been hot all day.

An idoit sitting near me in the first quarter had the nerve to say that Reg should pay ressies and doesn't deserve his spot.

Don't worry. He ate fries with those words!!

                          Re: Weagles gameday thread

To give the Eagles some credit if they didn't have a red hot go and with the attacking mood we were in ,they would have been beaten by 100+.

Thought Jesse Whites last Qtr was very good and is exactly what is required from him.

Bulldog is playing inspired footy at the moment and deserves his spot.

Some of Kennedys work in close was terrific to watch and he answered his RWO critics today.

Jetta was great today and his field kicking was sublime.

For mine though the 3 best players on the park were Grundy, LRT and Bradshaw( how good is this bloke).

But the Eagles are a shocking side with probably the worst young talent in the comp as I mentioned in another thread yesterday
No, I won't have that. Wretchmond have the worst list with very little talent coming through. I feel sorry for Hardwick, with the draft concessions that GC & GWS get in the next two drafts there's no Tankers like fix for Wretchmond. I can see another five years of wooden spoons for them - nice!

And speaking of the Tankers, isn't it amazing how much better they look this year by playing backs in the backline, forwards in the forward line, using ruckmen in the ruck instead of 6 foot 2 guys and keeping their best players on the park instead of extended spells on the bench!!!
