Maybe that is the master plan - Ted to take one for the team when Hall goes nuts - Eade drags him so that no-one else gets killed - then LRT comes on.

I don't understand the selection of Playfair. Surely they aren't going to play him in the ruck? So who does that leave as our 2nd ruck? I bumped into Kenny yesterday and he indicated it would be Goodes. I can't imagine that, although I'd like it (just so long as he doesn't get injured). I noticed the Dogs brought in that spaz Minson. My view is they will play White in the ruck when Minson is rucking, with Pyke on the bench and Playonlyfair up forward. Having Playonlyfair in the team also suggests Bradshaw is only 50-50, in which case I'd like to see Bevan in if he withdraws - we couldn't create any forward pressure last week.

Teddy was very, very lucky to hold his spot with LRT back in.

Playfair will play forward, so it will be White who goes into the ruck as the second (or equal option) to Pyke.

The other option is to play Playfair down back and have LRT do the ruck work (something that he has been reasonable at in the past when needed) although his hamstring tightness could rule him out of the rucking option.

Bringing Playfair in certainly provides more options with him plugging the gap forward or back depending on who does the rest of the ruck work.

Please not Goodes in the ruck. The last thing we need is him to get injured too. White or Playfair will do nicely thanks.

Won't happen. At least at centre bounces anyway - Roos has said so.

That might be why he was dropped. Roos might be hoping it's the kick in the guts he needs. I know it's been said a million times before, but Barlow has all the physical attributes of a footballer, and occasionally he'll put it all together and he'll do something brilliant. It would be a shame to see that go to waste.

It's weird though, I was watching the Irish Corner on the Swans site just then, and Barlow was cocky and confident and blokey and energetic. He didn't seem at all like the timid, uncomfortable, almost nerdy bloke we see when he plays footy. That's what he reminds me of: a geek (not that there's anything wrong with that, just that geeks don't tend to make the best footballers). If he could channel some of that blokey cockiness into his footy things might just start happening for him.

Unless he is cover for Bradshaw, Playfair will play in the ruck. He has some experience there, remember he was the one who Ball got all over in the dying seconds to palm to Nick. The doggies ruckmen are not in the same class as Ball, and he s quite mobile and may stretch the doggies ruckmen, who often are unaccountable when the opposing ruckmen drift forward. Interesting selection, bit from left field, but creative.

Surpised he is named on the bench, or doesn't that mean anything.

The Cats ran off Bradshaw well last week, so the Dogs defenders will be licking their lips being able to run off Bradshaw and Playfair. This and our inexperienced rucks are the biggest risks this week.

I'm trying to convince myself it won't be a hiding and the trip down is worth it... Very disillusioned by the selection of Playfair. Can't kick to save his own life.
