Look we all know that by bagging Playfair he actually gets better and better. Soo, lets boo hiss Henry......if we keep this up he may end up with the Browlow!

And for that matter, only Geelong has a surfeit of stars. Everyone else has some and a lot of other ones. Just like us, come to think of it......

Do you think Mumford coming over from Geelong broke the Geelong Recruit Curse? Since Mumford has been playing well, Playfair has suddenly become fit and (comparatively) firing. Perhaps we should give Chambers and Spriggs a call?

Mumford was terrific. His attack on the ball at stoppages was ferocious. We would have been slaughtered without his efforts.

Well, yes, but I meant retrospectively as well. So now Playfair is a player, as a result of Mumford breaking the curse.

He's clever in that when in close, he holds his hands up high and because of his height, even with multiple tacklers hanging off him, he still gets those effective handballs out over the top to our other mids. He's easily the recruit of the year in IMO. Hats off to our recruiters.

You mean the Greg Williams, Bernard Toohey, DAvid Bolton curse that started with Darren Denneman?

On the Couch tonight showed footage of Roos (on the bench) giving Goodes a spray after the 50 metre penalty. As Hird said, not much a player can say after that when your Coach is within metres of you.

Buddy was slung a full 360 the week before, but because he's Buddy and a goal came from it, the three blind mice let it go ...

The worst part was that he actually blows his whistle for the free almost the moment that rioli grabs hold of him. Forget the 360 degrees , the umpire had made up his mind before Mal was even slung around and that in itself is very bad umpiring.

Can we sign Hanna's up quickly...I'm getting nervous about losing him to one of the new clubs.

How did we lose the game? Most people seem to say "WE LOST IT" rather than the Hawks won it. So a couple of stuff ups and Goodsey not on song (2G 5pts) and there goes the game! With top efforts ,good umpiring and great defence,we should have won this one.

Both Hanners and Mummy made the AFL's team of the week. (Though if Stratton made it, mostly for shutting Goodes down, surely Smith should also be in it for a similarly effective role on Hodge??)

Then "most people" got it completely wrong. The Hawks could of iced the game in the first quarter if they kicked straight. And again they missed numerous easy shots in the last quarter which kept us in it.
