In Roos' press conference he said McGlynn is probably another week or so away. Didn't indicate whether that was in terms of playing at all, or playing in the senior team. Given how many weeks he's missed, really can't see him coming straight back in.

Meredith...been out for so long - rocks up and again shows himself to be a class above.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

This is the most likely outcome.

Move Rohan into defence, bring two of McGlynn, Moore and Veszpremi in for Heath and one of either Playfair or White, as we won't need the extra tall.

Possibly even rest ROK or Jude, in which case maybe bring in Meredith or Thornton for a run (although i don't watch much ressies so not sure if they are fit or in form), making positional switches as required.

I think Rohan was mostly in defence yesterday wasn't he?
And I'd like to keep both Playfair and White, I thought that without Bradshaw they worked reasonably well together. When Braddles comes back, reconsider.

I think this suggestion has real merit.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Agree with all of this. Probably lean towards Playfair going because he offers little for the future even though he doesn't deserve it on form.White needs a huge spray from Roosey. Someone his size and potential should be doing a lot more. I like the idea of resting ROK and Jude.Send them to the Gold Coast for a 10 day break! I like Meredith,he is all class but is he fit yet? Thornton was ok when he last had a chance and I remember he can actually kick a nice long goal.McGlynn will need a run in the reserves so its Vespa and Moore in for Heath and Henry. Probably ROK and Jude will still play because Rossey will leave it up to them but it was a nice thought!

I would keep White & Playfair with Bradshaw being out, those 2 would benefit with more game time.I don't think there will be any changes though I would rest 2 players for 1 week probably Kennedy (concuss) & Bolton (rest) this week and bring in Meredith and Ves or TDL or Currie then rest Kirk(coaches box) & ROK or a poor performer the week after & so on till just before finals time.We need to freshen up our players so they're all playing their best footy at finals time and any young player who comes in has experience. At the end of the day it benefits everyone. It's a big call though this is what I've always believed.

the difficulty is actually getting to the finals with this strategy (leaving aside robert walls' dictum - don't flirt with form). I'm not sure there are enough wins out there without our best 22. Whether certain players are in the best 22 at the moment is a separate question.

I think over all you could make 2 changes a week without much affect due to injury, fatigue or poor form to get all the players performing at their best.

Desperately need a small forward - if either Moore or McGlynn available and in some sort of nick you'd think they'd get a call up.

I don't think they'll come straight in though probably through the ressies.....we desperately need McGlynn back and Moore when fully fit

Wouldn't it be better if we kept playing Campbell Heath. Ok, he made a crucial error in the last quarter. But I want the kids to get exposure & game time. He looked to have good skills yesterday.
