yep 5 or so changes should definitely help us win.

not playfair though, he needs to have a REALLY good game before he is worthy of getting dropped.

Remember you all nearly killed me when I suggested reserves time for Ted in the middle of last year.

Also would really like to see Jude and ROK given a forced holiday. We are not going to win this year so get them back to full health and ready for our next premiership.....they need two weeks each on a sun lounger they're recent form is just killing me - so far from their best.

Have watched the whole game and stand by my suggestion of Goodesy in the reserves. He's been down on form before, but badly needs a jolt. Nothing has changed in his play or his demeanour and it's just not good enough from a player of his talent.
      You should be coaching richmond.

I totally agree, in fact i think we should just have a complete switch our best 22 should play in canberra and the rest should play AFL. At least that way we would win the Canberra grand final for the millionth year in a row, lets face it thats what really matters. Innovative left field thinking is roos's thing its the new coaching from the boundry line, its called drop everyone

Who cares who replaces Goodesy? The point is how do you turn HIM araound. He's playing poorly and with bad attitude......what do you suggest?
Leo was a key defender who regularly did his (very difficult) job. Shaw is in the team to provide run and dash...he's not doing it and is giving up 2 or 3 goals a game for no good reason.
Reg coughed up a horrible one too, but he plays tall so gets special dispensation.

Surely no one cares if we beat Essendon or not this week. We need to get our players playing well, and just continuing to play players in poor form is not working is it?

Of course there'll probably be no changes this week, we'll beat Essendon comfortably and then I'll look like an idiot and we'll all be happy.

If Goodes kicked 5 goals 1 behind instead of 1 goal 5 behinds last weekend, would we be saying he's playing poorly? NO, we wouldn't!!! Most of his shots on the weekend were from pretty tight angles. He's getting plenty of the ball, granted he is turning it over a bit more than what I would like, but you keep the bloody champ in there at CHF and dont move him.

But he didn't kick 5 goals 1, he kicked 1 goal 5 and therefore played a poor game.
If Heath had hit all his targets we'd be saying what a great game...but he didn't.
If Bolton or OKeefe had gone forward and kicked 5 goals....... IF ONLY.

You do realize that most of his shots were on the boundary line 40-50 out and on his non preffered side....tough shots at goal!!!

By Adam Goodes standards ,IMO, he had a poor game regardless of how difficult his shots on goal were.(BTW most of the shots he missed were very getable) . The point of my post was not so much to criticize Goodes game, but was to highlight that "IF" ,he had done this or "IF" he had done that, is irrelevent and pointless, because he didn't.

Sorry Ernie, I have to disagree with this.

Fair enough, I 've already erased this game from my tele, so I'm going on memory which ,I'll be honest, is only fair. (Many moons of the high life have made sure of that.) But as I remember it.... His first 2 shots were difficult from long range. His 3rd was from about 40m out on a slight angle(very gettable) his 4th was from a tight angle but only about 20- 30 out.(gettable) His 5th....can't remember, but I do remember thinking at the time, that on a good day he would of nailed it and atleast 2 of the others.

Mentioned somewhere else that Goodsey played with a black armband - so on a personal level he was probably not at his mental best. I know some will say personal life shouldn't make a difference, but being a human being, yes it does. And yes I yelled at him to do all sorts of things I thought he should, but he never listens to me.....Next game I am hoping he does a whole lot better. We need him.

Adam Goodes and Kirky have pulled our side over the line so many times, it should be rule that some players have earned a level of respect whereby they are beyond such criticism.
