I think there's more chance of Goodes being dropped than White - ie zero chance. White is a work in progress and Roos has already said that the structure works best with Bradshaw, White and Goodes up there - and Playfair was put in try to recreate that structure. So why would he wait till Bradshaw is ready to complete the winning structure from the early part of the season and then move White out to unbalance it again?

Bradshaw won't play. Simply a scam to get more bums on seats - will be named in the squad but withdrawn on Saturday. In any case - Swans by 23, ie enough to give Joffa our own version of "Game Over" for a few minutes.

          In : D-Bra and Shaw
Out : Bevan and Vespa (although Rohan wouldn't surprise - as much as I want him there). Surely it has to be 2 of these 3 players?

Good call, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Ves play two more games, and Red being rested for a few. I like Bev in our side. I don't care what you blokes and blokettes think. He does some darned good stuff.

This is the last game i would be dropping Rohan for. We need hardness at the footy, and that kid is ( in the best possible way) a complete nut case ! The Rooster stays !
The Pies have been struggling in the ruck, maybe ( i know it won't happen) Pyke could sit this one out and Jesse/ Goodesy could provide a chop out for Mummy. This would mean we could have an extra running type for what is most likely going to be an exhausting contest

Then it would look like : INS: Shaw, Braddy
              OUTS: Bevo or Vez, Pyke

                INS: Bradshaw & Shaw

                OUTS: Pyke & Bevan

Hopefully Shawy will lift himself back into form against his brother (who has currently been ordinary).
We also can't keep playing Pykey in the team (ATM). It's like watching the Socceroos with 10 men all over again.

We can beat this mob - at a glance, I can't work out how they have managed to get so much out of their list.

                Cloke is a girl.
Davis & Medhusrt are glory hunters who turn up occassionally.
Thomas is a wide receiver who never get his hands dirty.
Josh Fraser - that deserves a separate thread.
Presti - Still can't believe he gets a game at ths level.
                Lockyer - Past it!
                O'Bree - Can't kick.
Jolly - Still a good player but I'm so glad we have Mummy!!!

Go boys - do it for Roosey.

Surely with Josh Fraser playing, our back-ups of White & Goodes can allow Mummy an occassional breather!!!!

                  I agree, bring in TDL.

Pyke has been fine, he played possibly the best game of his career against Port. He's no longer a liability around the ground, and he adds a great deal in the ruck, giving Mummy a much needed rest while maintaining the quality of tapwork.

                    Stupid post.

Cloke - Confidence player, when up and firing he is near unstoppable, and god knows we're probably the team he'll fire against.
Davis and Medhurst - Agree, but they like hunting flory against us for some reason.
Thomas - Myth. He has no problem getting his hands dirty, and has been playing very, very good footy this year.
                    Fraser - Yeah, he's a dud.
Presti - Wtf? Looking at his DT scores or something?
Lockyer - Not as good as lhe has been but still a dangerous player.
O'Bree - Neither can Kirk, doesn't mean they aren't very effective and important players.
Jolly - We'll see. If Jolly can sneak forward and bag a couple, it could prove to be decisive.

Goodes doesn't play ruck any more. White isn't as good in the ruck as he is up forward. It would be robbing Peter to pay Paul. We have enough elite gut-runners in McVeigh, Hannebery, O'Keefe, Mattner, Shaw, etc to allow the luxury of having a fantastic tap-ruckman in Pyke coming off the bench in ten minute bursts, playing 40% TOG, and giving Mummy a break. Would be far better than stealing Goodes/White from the forwardline and playing them out of position and playing an extra midfielder from the ressies.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Yep, I think adequate tap ruckman might describe him better.
In the pre-season, I said that having Pyke out there was essentially playing one man down but I don't think that now. He has improved his work around the ground with every game and his game against Port was terrific.

No way should they drop Pyke, he helps Mumford get well earned rest after his amazing follow up work and destroying packs.

Really have no idea what the changes will be for Braddy and Shaw...

Pyke played the best game of his career against Port. I'd be staggered if they drop him. I reckon we might see:

                            In: Bradshaw, Shaw
                            Out: White, Vez

Agree, deadset myth. Anyone saying he's soft or over-rated hasn't watched Collingwood this year. I think some people assumed that because he had long hair and did some flashy things, he must be soft.
