FFS he spent the first 23 years of his life living in an igloo playing rugby. Got a feeling he may even kick a goal this week.

Of course, the rest of the team in total has not seem as many cold, wet nights as he has - and he was the first player told he was playing on Saturday - (and he was saying that all season that he'd judge how far he'd come by whether he was picked for this match) but you might be right.

again turns to Bevan. Cant see why we cant play either Ves or Rohan. Ves and Currie will be lucky to be in Sydney next year and I cant blame them. Bevo isnt our future, well past it. But Roosey like Eade has favourites.

Yes, but, the kid is 18 and just had a two week rest. I imagine he's feeling great! I think it's a mistake to leave him out.

Also, as someone else said - it IS the week of the ranga.

Easy to see why they would be disillusioned. I suppose its Longmires job to let them know now if there is a role for them to play next year, just a quiet word in their ear perhaps.

Motlop is a temperamental player. He didn't get a lot of delivery from his team mates, and the delivery he did get was generally poor. Bevan may have done okay on him, but i think it was more to do with Motlop and Port than to do with Bevan.
IF I see Bevan line up on Didak, I'll be pretty sure we're going to lose. Smith is the man for that job.

I do get the argument about Motlop having a bad day at the office. But Bevan can only beat what challenges are put in front of him. I'm actually not a Bevan fan, especially in defence, but he did the job that was asked of him and that is why he is still in the side this week. A lot of posters have expressed incredulity that he has been selected and I'm just pointing out the logical reasons behind the selection.

I would like to see the ranga too but Bevan hasn't had any shockers lately where as Rohan was very quiet in the port game...

Anyway the most important "new" players for this game are going to be the experienced ones in Bradshaw, Kennedy, McGlynn and Mumford with Pyke giving mummy his much needed rest from the midfield.

Yeah i think it's easy to forget that all those players mentioned above are also new and the pies havent faced us with them. There are all also very good and more than capable of match winning performances ( Not Pyke but all the others)

Coogee just had a flash flood from the tears of Pykey after he read your post.

Also someone get on the blower to Roos, he made a mistake and needs to bring in Jetta or Rohan!

LOL, yeh, if we were ice fishing or seal bashing, I think you'd be on to something. BUt catching a footy as slippery as a greased pig might prove a challenge for the big bloke. If he comes out in a singlet with zinc cream on his face, then we'll know you were on the right track!

Kennelly did this last time he had a knee injury. Came back too early, aggravated the injury and ended up having extra time on the sideline. He should have waited till after the split round to come back with his knee cherry ripe.

That said i am glad we are appeasing president gillard by playing a ranga
