I agree the comment is stupid. He is a much better footballer today than 2006. LRT gives everything, its never trendy to be a fantastic back, those in front get the glory.

Possibly 2-3 seasons after his career is over.
In all honesty, he played well yesterday. And there have been lots of games where he's played beautifully and been rightly named among our best players. But when he plays poorly (and, be honest LRT lovers-because you KNOW he does), he's an embarrassment.
For mine, I mostly see him as being inconsistent. His best marks seem to come from him being out of position, and he often appears beaten by many of his opponents. He gives away lots of frees. On many occassions, I've watched him stop chasing an opposition player, almost in admiration of their flashy skills. He can be generally indecisive (and he's not alone in this capacity). What's worse is that he looks as though he would be as clueless in life as he sometimes does on the field.
Having said that...I've met him. He seems like a great bloke, and he's a loyal club-man. Any team would be proud to have him serving as an ambassador for them.
Barry McKenzie is the best description for him. And Barry Mckenzie is an awesome fella. Never mind watching it on Fox, I'll break out my copy of the DVD which is signed by Barry Crocker. I wonder if LRT drinks from foaming tubes of Lager?Comment

What is the source of the statistics that attribute Lewie with the greatest number of turnovers leading to opposition goals "in the last decade"?
I wonder whether the impression of him as a footballer is blurred by his haircut - that truly is ordinary!Comment

i think lrts true value is there to see when he is out, the backline is not as good simple as that.Theres not much left to sayComment

And yes, his haircut is ordinary. Having said that, he isn't in our 22 because of his "do" (which rhymes).Comment

Can be prone to turn it over when he is not presented with a clear option on the first time, but when he has time and a clear option LRT usually hits them by foot or hand.

Can't remember what round it was, but at some point deep into this year he was statistically our best user of the football.
